Nice, portable & easy to use

It's a good and well-constructed small French press, a good replacement for one I had from Canada the glass of which was broken by a domestic helper when it slipped from its holder. I found no problem with the glass of this Wonderchef French press. I generally don't pour just-boiled water straight into any glass press. I warm the glass a bit - by twirling inside some water that is still being heated and then throwing it out - before placing the coffee grounds. With this technique I've never had a glass cracking problem with this or any other french press.The construction is sturdy as the glass is fastened to the plastic frame. It looks neat too. The sieve is tight enough and works well. I am deducting one star because the black knob at the head of the sieve shaft is rounded and not flat from the top so it can't be simply kept standing upright upside down on its head when adding grounds/water. Same issue when it's placed in the plastic drying stand after use and washing out - it has to be leaned against something which is not as convenient as placing it upright upside down on the flat head. French presses, big and small, that I've bought in Canada in the past all had flat heads at the end of the shaft. Wonderchef should keep this slight but very useful modification in mind for future redesign. On the whole a great little press for brewing coffee. Given me about 3 years of service so far without any problem with the glass or the effectiveness of the sieve.

I have been using this coffee maker for the past few weeks, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. It's incredibly handy, use friendly, making my mornings such smoother. Cleaning it is a breeze, which is a huge plus for someone with a busy schedule. The best patis that it only takes 2-3minutes to brew a perfect cup of coffee, saving me precious time. Overall, I'm super happy with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient coffee maker.

I liked the compact size and since it is meant to brew 1-2 cups was the most apt size for my use. Unfortunately I received the product with glass cracked. This was not immediately visible as the crack was hidden in the plastic reinforcement. When I was pulling the plunger out the mesh was scratching against the crack and carrying fine glass dust with it. There was no packaging damage however. So I cursed my luck and requested for a replacement. This time before opening the box, I could hear broken glass pieces. This time too no damage on the outer packaging but glass is broken. This makes me think two possibilities. The glass beaker being thin and fragile cracks the first time the first buyer pours hot water. And then in dissapointment they just wash and repack and send for replacement. This is sad. And on part of Amazon this goes unnoticed because the return reason may not be "damaged item" therefore not requiring Amazon to reinspect. I could also be possible Amazon also overlooking the cause for return and assigning the same product to another buyer. Second improbable reason could be the glass being inherently fragile broke inside the box just due to vibrations without actually the outer packaging getting damaged. Sorry this is not a product review. However I ordered same item directly again from wonderchef website to avoid mysteriously broken glasses. Will update the review if the product turns out remarkable.

Defective product received

You need a narrow brush to properly wash 350 ml one other than that it's really good, I liked the little tight lid and filter because it doesn't fall sometimes if you turn it upside down....It broke after 2 weeks because it fell from my table but i would buy it again.... I've got another one but it's lid is not tight so i regret not buying this one again!!

The best part is that it does what it should be doing. And its value for money at least for me.
