Used in a dance workshop but can also be decorated.

These are great! I bought these for 2 reasons ... my 8-y/o grandson wanted to be "a nobody" for Halloween and so he wore all pale gray, and he wanted a straight face. Via one of these mask, I was able to achieve the look that he was after; I used a pale gray, matte, spray paint to paint one of these mask for him ... perfect!Since this buy was a pack of 12 masks, I decided to have a grand-kids' sleep-over with grandma ... typically, we get creative and make fun foods & crafts at these sleep-overs, and these masks set the season! I let the kids decorate their masks however they wanted ... paint, markers, stickers, glitter, sequins, feathers ... we had it all! The kids still adore their masks; the girls hanged theirs on the wall.I used a box cutter to cut 'breather holes' in the noses & mouths of the masks, and I cut little holes in the temples so I could thread the elastic straps through the masks (so the kids could wear them).Although the cardboard masks are strong, before cutting into them, I reinforced the backside of the areas (to be cut) with white duct tape. For us, this worked great--as, when people wear masks, their breathing causes condensation in the masks' nose & mouth areas, which could cause cardboard masks to weaken and promote moisture to bleed though to the front of the masks ... for us & our masks, the duct tape reinforcements act as a lining that keeps the nose & mouth areas of our masks dry and strong.

I like how strong they are. I was able to drastically change their build and the masks are holding up so far. I'm waiting on the second one to dry, but as you can see, it's holding its shape regardless of the weight over the left eye.

These masks were fun and well made pieces, well worth $1 apiece, came in three styles and two sizes. (Four of each of them) in white cardboard paper materials. Painted easily and were not uncomfortable.

The media could not be loaded. Wasn’t aware that 4 masks were missing holes for the elastic string…. until after my clients painted them! I didn’t have a hole puncher and didn’t want to risk damaging their projects. They will have to create a hook and hang them on the wall when they get home.

I purchased this product to use with an art class I teach. The you painted and collages them. The masks were a great ‘canvas’. I’m not sure about comfort. We didn’t really intend to wear them.
