FORTIN EVO‐ONE & T‐Harness for select Mazda Push‐To‐Start 2013+ Review: Worked great on 2019 CX9 - There are no instructions provided with the unit and you must have a Flashlink Updater. There is a specific version listed in the item description but I bought one listed as Flashlink 4 (newest version) and it worked fine. In the updater software you can pull up fairly useless videos and also a more useful PDF with install instructions. In my case I found much better instructions on a forum before placing the order. Installation took about 20 minutes. There are potentially an intimidating number of wires on the harness but all that was required was using the plugs. There are programmer settings that don't necessarily work on all cars as the EVO-ONE unit works with a wide range of vehicles. For instance there is an option to turn on heated seats in cold weather, but that is not wired into the plugs used by the harness for my car so it does not work. You can sort out your own wiring to bridge from the harness to the wiring for the heated seats but I don't intend on doing that. Since install the system has worked flawlessly. The heating system comes on where it's left so adjust it to what you think you want the next time you start the vehicle. Review: Great price and easy install on Mazda - I installed this in my 2017 Mazda CX-9 Signature and I'm very happy with it. I purchased the Flashlink adapter and RM912 long range remotes for this system as well. The hardest part was programming the long range remotes. I had to search the FAQs on Fortin's website to figure out that the bypass plug (white connector next to the main 6 pin connector) needs to be unplugged while programming the remotes. Once programmed, I was able to plug this connector back in. Now the remotes operate as they should. This should have been explained in the instructions but, no big deal. Very happy overall. Will be installing in all of my vehicles.

Easy to install and works great
I ordered one for a Mazda cx-5. It came with a custom plug and play harness. The tricky part was the programming which requires the flash device from Fortin. I had to go thru all the programming twice before it actually worked. But it’s been working great for a few weeks now. I would definitely recommend.

Great product. Terrible seller.
Product review below. But first... Do not buy this from the seller trustusonline unless you are ok with waiting weeks for it to be delivered. It took over 4 weeks for this particular one to be delivered after I ordered it, because the seller did not have enough of them in stock in the Amazon fulfillment centers to fill the orders. Therefore, Amazon could not ship it out to me. NOT Amazon's fault. I had ordered two of these at the same time and both were supposed to be delivered about 2 weeks after I placed the order, then it was 4 weeks (first one finally shipped and was delivered), then it was 5 weeks, then 7 weeks. Every time the delivery date would get pushed out, I would contact Amazon Support. Every time I contacted Amazon Support, they verified the same thing...the seller had not shipped it to the Amazon fulfillment centers, so Amazon could ship it to me. Again, NOT Amazon's fault. The day before the 7 weeks was up (when the second one of these that I ordered was supposed to be delivered), Amazon ended up cancelling the remaining item, since they still did not have it in stock from the seller. If you look at the feedback for the seller, you will see that Amazon takes the blame multiple times for when people complain about shipping delays (including mine). I have no idea why Amazon would do this, since it is 0% Amazons fault. They can't ship an item that a seller hasn't sent them. The one positive of buying from this seller, is that they did have it cheaper than anyone else. But if you never get the item, then that is irrelevant. Anyway, on to the Evo-One remote start unit and T-harness... I installed this on a 2021 Mazda CX-5 Touring with push-to-start. What I say below pertains to this vehicle. YMMV with your vehicle. This worked great, once I got it programmed, set up and installed...which was not hard. I highly recommend the T-harness for the vehicle you are installing this in. It is truly plug and play, as far as the wiring goes. Now, if I wanted things like park light to come on when I remote started the vehicle, that would've required me to cut and splice a couple of wires in the steering column area. I did not hook up the park lights to come on though, so it was just plug and play using the T-harness, no cutting or splicing of wires necessary. I also did not hook up the hood pin switch (that keeps the vehicle from being remote started when the hood is open). I figure if I am doing anything around the engine with the hood open, I can simply unhook the battery, so it can't be started at all, if I feel that is necessary. The remote start unit does also come with a push button switch that can be hooked up to it to disable/re-enable the remote starter by pushing the button a certain number of times. This button is optional to hook up to the remote start. Yes, you have to download the FlashLink Manager program to your computer and create an account so you can set the appropriate options and load the appropriate firmware to the Evo-One remote start unit. Yes, you need the Fortin Flashlink Updater (also known as the Crimestopper - FLU-100.2 - Fortin Updater Tool Flash Loader Unit). I bought the ~$32 one off of Amazon and it works great. This unit is the interface between your computer and the Evo-One. Yes, you will need to update the firmware on the Evo-One to the version appropriate for the vehicle you are installing the Evo-One in. You also need to do the programming/option setup in the Evo-One appropriate to the vehicle you are installing it in and what options you want to enable/disable. There are guides that are vehicle specific on the Fortin.ca website that tell you what options need to be set, what firmware version is needed for the vehicle you are installing it in, etc. If you expect to take this out of the box, plug it into your car and it will work, you are going to be very sad. You must do the programming and firmware as mentioned above before it will work. It is not a matter of simply plugging it in right out of the box and it will work...it won't. Some sellers may do the setup/programming/firmware updates for you, but I would not assume they do, unless they state that they do and ask specifically what you are installing this in, because there are different versions of firmware and programming needed for different vehicles. If they do, then the Fortin FlashLink Updater should not be needed. But if you plan on doing future firmware updates or want to change any of the settings later, then you will need it. I found a good video on youtube appropriate to the Mazda vehicle I was installing this in that did help verify I was doing the programming and setup correctly. So if you run into issues, try doing a google search for the remote start and for the vehicle you are installing it in (or at least the make of vehicle...Mazda, Ford, etc.) and you may find a video or some forum posts related to your vehicle and Fortin remote starter that will be helpful. This uses the factory key fob to remote start the vehicle. I push the lock button 3 times and in a couple of seconds the car starts (alternatively, it can be programmed for a lock-unlock-lock sequence). So the range at what I can remote start the car at is the same distance as what I could lock or unlock the doors at, for example. Note, I have to set the climate controls to the settings I want them to come on at when I remote start the vehicle, before I shut the vehicle off. Some vehicles with a factory remote start will turn on AC/heat/heated seats/heated steering wheel/etc. as appropriate. But since this is an aftermarket remote start it just starts the vehicle and will turn on the climate controls as they were when the vehicle was shut off last. It will not turn on heated seats/steering wheel on my vehicle...just heat or AC at the fan speed I left it at when shut it off last. Also, when remote started it does not shut off the vehicle when I open the driver's door to get in (some remote starts do, including Mazda's factory remote start, from what I've read). So I don't have to restart the vehicle when I get in, I just push the push-to-start button without pushing the brake pedal. Then after a couple of seconds I push the brake pedal, shift into gear and drive away. Obviously, I have to have the key fob with me, in order to take over and drive away.

Just what I needed for Florida Heat
Bought this for my 2016 CX5 and it was an easy install in my opinion. As long as you have some base knowledge with cars and electronics you should be able to knock this out in an hour or two. I've had this for about a year now and it's still going strong. Id recommend the FortinOne over the FortinAll just to be able to transition easily from remote start to driving. Make sure you get the Flashlink adapter to be able to hook to the PC to get everything programmed.

I’ve installed a couple remote starters on my own and Fortin one of the easier ones, with great support. This was a great price from the seller as it included the Mazda T harness which is usually another $69. I also bought the Flashlink to set up it through my computer. The seller shipped very fast - couple of days. I installed the remote starter in about half an hour. Watch a couple Youtube videos of guys who’ve installed Fortin before and just follow along. Everything is working perfectly.

I recommend this product. I bought it and installed it to my 2019 Mazda CX5 push to start. this EVO-ONE is easy to install and program. it provides you tons of options to configure for your car/SUV in my case such as using 3x Lock or Lock-unlock-Lock to for remote start, enable/disable Lift gate use when locked and many more. You can use factory remote or add an external RF remote and even add remote via APP (subscription required). I would recommend buying the harness for ease of wiring without splicing. the flash module is a "MUST" to buy as as add on to reprogram the EVO-ONE. overall, I love it and is a recommended buy. I don't have knowledge on cars and electronics but was able to install this because it has all the documentation that you need as long as you read it. I hope this helps future buyers. Let me know if you have any other questions. I will try to help. Cheers!

Quite easy to install if you follow video instructions. Remember to have flasher (the red circle device), it is necessary. Software is not that user friendly, especially in "expert" mode.

Great product, Easy to install, please be advised that you need the Fortin flashlink updater to program the OEM keys. Works great with MyCar VS-4LU-1 4G/LTE Smartphone Remote Start Controller
