Best brush I've used for years. Great on thick curly hair.

I've lost soo much hair and had many set backs due in part to detangling with a comb. Come to find out, all I had to do was buy a brush specifically designed for curly afro hair...if I'd had this brush then, I would have saved myself years of anguish and frustration detangling my hair. If you are reading this and have any inkling to buy this brush, especially if these kinds of brushes are new to you when it comes to detangling, just get it. You will be happy you did. And yes, there are brushes best suited to our hair types... smh and i knew about these kinds of brushes but i didn't think it would make THIS much of difference in detangling... well, trust me, it does. Absolutely life changing! Using this brush the first time to detangle was sooo easy, I moved through my hair like butter, detangles just smoothing away. I was AMAZED! You get the gist lol. The only con I have is the length of the handle could be longer, it feels to me like it was designed perfectly for a little person. Then again I do have long piano fingers so there's that... but I still find it absolutely worth the purchase given my hairs current outcome. I will say though, if you happen to have the same kinds of long fingers and you have arthritis this may not be the brush for you, so you'd have to assess if it would be worth it given the handles size. As someone with extremely difficult dry hair that tangles easily (4b hair) I am telling you this brush is heaven. I have been using it since covid and I tend to need to replace it every year because of the wear and tear but the brush gets the job done with minimal pain for detangling. Every other brush I've ever owned brakes within a few weeks because of the force I need to use to get the brush to go through my thick thick thick hair but this brush does a phenomenal job almost like cutting into a fruit is the best analogy I can think of. Love love love this brush and have been buying it for years

If you're looking for more volume and separation and less of a wet look, I can see how someone could use this however for those with medium and long mixed textured curls/waves👩‍🦱👨‍🦱, that are medium to tight or both...this will annoy you (might work for shorter pixie type cuts or men with short hair who also have this texture) while you're trying to detangle your hair by the brush part sliding out, although that's a nice feature for cleaning the brush, whatever you use to condition your hair makes the brush slip out even more and for me there are too many bristles. Yes I think the point is for you to be able to remove some bristles and adjust it to your texture or separate/define your curls/waves or to use for a specific style technique similar (from what I've gathered of it anyway) to the Denman brush (which I was trying this out as a cheaper substitute for to see if that brush style even works for me) but even with hair that keeps a good amount of moisture and isn't too hard to detangle normally (when I keep up with my hair as I'm supposed to anyway) this isn't for me, I want a brush I can grip and that's as quick as possible in detangling w/o getting stuck etc...the wet brush works a lot better for me personally especially if I'm just trying to be quick but this may work for styling your hair in a certain way or if you want more of a fluffy look but you really need to take your time with this brush and section it out, not my thing. I just wanted something that safely and quickly detangles my hair while keeping its moisture and a nice wave/curl but😕...yea...🚫😑 no. It did work as a substitute for a boar bristle brush to slick my pony tail back but other than that 😒for the price it is what it is, a mid plastic brush that requires patience that I no longer possess in doing my hair these days but hey... maybe you do.🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

I really like this brush.

It’s affordable, easy to clean, and works great on wet/dry hair. I have super thick wavy/straight hair and it actually gets through most of it. Two of the spokes have come off but I bought this over a year ago and still use it everyday. Since my hair is so thick it does start to come out of the handle (that’s how you clean it) but it’s very easy to push back in.
