Merckens Coating Melting Wafers White 5 pounds melting chocolate (3 Pack)

I used Wilton melts for years to make cake pops and still have success with their chocolate-flavored varieties; however, their white or colored melts always turn out way too thick. I’ve switched to Merckens for white melts and have consistently had success — easy to melt in the microwave with a smooth consistency that’s perfect for dipping cake pops and even strawberries. I use my own color gels when I need colored melts, which allows for more customization, anyway, so I’m happy. I’ll continue using Merckens from here on out and appreciate being able to buy a large bag.

I have used Merckens melting wafers for over 30 years. I usually bought from a local candy store. Since I have moved and didn’t know a local store, I ordered this from Amazon. It was the worse melting I have ever seen. There was no way to use it for dipping. It was a big blob. After consulting Google I tried to thin it with no success. I emailed the company and have had no response except they received the email. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY?

I am new to Merckens and I totally love what I have tried! I ordered the milk chocolate, loved it, so I had to try the white, also. Once again, I was not disappointed. These melt in your mouth and are so easy to melt. I hope I can have them long enough to make Christmas goodies!! Thank you for such a great quality product.

I have always found the quality of Mercken's Coatings to be of high quality. The coatings have also been easy to melt and had a very nice flowing quality. I was extremely disappointed in this purchase! The quality was not what I have been accustomed to! I paid a good price for this Mercken's coatings and feel, I could have purchased Wilton's Candy coatings and would have received the same quality. I don't know if the recipe has changed, but I would not purchase this item again. I am extremely disappointed!

My wife purchased these Merckens chocolates for Christmas candy-making. Unfortunately, the white chocolate proved to be old and would not melt properly nor was it consistent. A big disappointment!

Love this chocolate, melts well in a double broiler

I know some chocolates require thinning with shortening to make it smooth, but this chocolate was the worst. I used some much crisco shortening. I would say the ratio was 1:1. It was really thick chocolate. I wouldn't buy it again.

This is the best color (white) to pour into 3-d molds! Perfection!
