Q: What is this made of?

Hi Athena, thank you for your interest in The Body Shop's Luxury Flannel Facial Washcloth. The product is made from 100% PVA. Hopefully this helps.

Q: Does anyone have a clue as to what this is soaked in when it arrives? It is in a sealed pouches that is wet, and it comes from China.

I think just water as it becomes stiff when dry but soft again when wet. I have been using these for years and no problem. If they didn't do this it would get brittle in shipping and crack.

Q: How do you clean this?

The Body Shop Luxury Flannel Facial Washcloth is washable by hand in warm, soapy water, or in the delicate cycle of the washing machine. Do not tumble dry.

Q: does this dry stiff like the Aveda shammy cloth or is this just like a piece of fabric?

The Body Shop Luxury Flannel Facial Washcloth does dry stiff however it becomes very soft once it is wet.
