Performance Designed Products PS Vita 2000 Silicone Skin

I've ordered two of these skins so far. A blue one for my 11-year-old and a red one for my 10-year-old. Both fit perfectly and make the Vita so comfortable to hold that my hubby has requested a black one for his Vita, too. The bonus screen cleaner is actually pretty nice and has a stretchy strap on it so you can loop it through one of the bottom holes on the Vita to always have it handy and still be able to use it. They aren't going to save your Vita from a fall down the stairs, but they will protect it from scratches and minor bumps.It does add just a hair to the size of the Vita, though, so don't expect it to fit in any carrying case that has a form-fitted slot, such as the  AmazonBasics Heavy-Duty Vault Case . We did actually try it with that particular case, and it does stop the Vita from fitting. It doesn't stop you from using a case like the  Butterfox Double Compartment Carry Case , though, which we also tested.

The PS Vita 2000 Silicone Skin does fit the new Vita (a.k.a. the Vita Slim), although it's a more loose than I would have liked. This makes it easy to put on and take off, but it also diminishes the sleek look of the Vita more than I would have liked. The loose fit winds up just looking sloppy. I also wasn't a fan of the white printing on the front and the back. On the positive side, it was well-designed to fit all of the Vita's numerous buttons and controls very well. I expect that it will protect the Vita from scratches but not from any significant shocks or drops.I use the skin when I'm traveling with the Vita and I'm happy enough with it given the low price. However, with a little bit more attention to the fit and looks department, it could have been an always-on solution.

I ordered this item thinking I'd have to return it after reading some of the other reviews. But it fit on my Vita Slim perfectly. The blue is a bit darker and not as bright as in the picture. But very nice, it feels nice and it provides some necessary grip. The back has these two ridges where you can rest your fingers which make it easier to hold. The holes for the buttons, speakers, joysticks, camera and ports are easy to get to and gameplay isn't affected by the surrounding plastic. It also keeps the back a bit higher so the back touchscreen isn't touching something when put down. I was expecting some poorly made bootleg but I am very happy with this one. I might get the red one in a few months.

It was difficult to make the cover fit properly.

This Vita skin fits nicely on the new, slimmer Vita. It's not loose and it should easily protect the Vita from minor drops and scratches on the protected areas. The only real down side of this skin is that the rubber is very smooth and provides little grip or friction to help with any possible drops. I recommend a wrist strap with any Vita, with or without this skin. Other than the smoothness and slightly diminished grip I'd still recommend this skin for the protection it provides alone! Fits like a glove for PS Vita 2000 , but this can get a little slippery in the hands ,even though it is made out of silicone. Great for protection ,looks great ,avoid scratches & accidental drop from short distances, not recommended to let that happen. 😁

straight up, this is crap. it doesnt fit. and it pushes against the buttons and dont get me started on what it does to aggravate you during play while you use the analog sticks. NIGHTMARE. i played with this on for less than 5 minutes then i ripped it to shreds with my bare hands. trust me. you DONT want this. only thing that it has going for it, is when you ARENT playing with it, the rubber shell does give the vita a decent amount of protection, but playability with it is atrocious

Love it! Covers up the glossy parts of the Vita that I don't like and it feels great in the hands, and it's pretty tight fit so it's not that loose. Has to one of my best buys for the Vita! (If you have or are planing on getting analog stick covers beware that it might interfere with each other, though it does work if you apply enough pressure on the analog sticks.)
