'Bunny Lee, the hit maker from Jamaica.' Soul Jazz Records presents this new collection featuring the heavy 70s roots reggae of Bunny Lee - a living legend, one of the last of the great Jamaican record producers who helped shape and define reggae music in the 1970s from a small island sound into an internationally successful musical genre. From teenage fan to young record plugger for Duke Reid, Sir Coxsone and other early pioneering Jamaican musical entrepreneurs, Lee has spent his whole professional life inside the Kingston music industry. In the 1970s he rose up to become one of the major record producers in Jamaica alongside Lee 'Scratch' Perry, and the other 'small axe' producers, who broke the dominance of the 'big tree' producers that had ruled Jamaican music in the 1960s.

Top tunes
Some completely top tunes on here but padded out with some duff ones too. Would have preferred a full album of top tunes, but the top tunes that are on here are absolutely top. So 4 stars it is then

Utter rubbish
So there's a trend of releasing any old rubbish with modern sleeve artwork, this is a prime example. It took me a week to even get through the whole thing- three discs of absolute bilge, not a single decent track, despite the starry names.Avoid
