Perfect for advance users
These are probably the best sticks I've owned. They have enough weight for fast spins but are light enough to change direction quickly. The only thing I don't like is the black residue from the hand sticks. Well-made, durable, and very fun. For beginners, I recommend flower sticks because they have tassles on the end that allow for slower spins so you can learn the basics more easily. Those get boring eventually and you'll want to pick up a set of these.

Great product but not for beginners
When they first arrived I sort of panicked because they were sticky and I was afraid they had melted in the heat. Turns out they are supposed to be that way to make them a little slower. I hadn't ever used this type before and my only experience with flower sticks was for a few minutes in elementary school. They were extremely difficult to learn on but that's my fault, not the stick's. They work exactly how they say they do, a little hard to balance but once you get the hang of them there are no limits.

Not for beginners
Well they are pretty well crafted. If these are what you are looking for, they deserve 5/5. However, I must note that these are extremely difficult to use. They are noisy, the handles feel like they might snap, there is very little traction, and they go really fast. So I guess for a professional juggler, these are pretty good. But for a beginner or intermediate juggler, these aren't for you. I'm intermediate, I can keep my other set of sticks spinning and I can do flips and spins without dropping them, and I found these sticks pretty unmanageable. I had to really concentrate to just keep them going. So overall I give it 4/5, because even though I don't use them now, someone better can probably get a lot of use out of them.

I'm loving these sticks!
First set of devil sticks I have gotten in a long time, and am very impressed in the quality and glad that someone is still making good sets. Not your average ren faire set hahahaha, and you better not be your average set of hands... These bad boys are FAST!

Not worth the price
Juggling devil sticks for 40 years. For me, The Main stick’s ends are too wide for its length. The side sticks are too short for the weight, width, and length. The tape is not consistent and edges exposed. The plastic-like tape on one end of the side sticks limit use. Way too large also.

Best toy ever!
If you have a fidget in your family, this is the best purchase you'll ever make. We're on our second generation of devil sticks - my son and grandson have had hours & hours of entertainment. It's been thirty years since I bought the first set so I don't remember who made them, but I bought this set from funn & frolic. When they arrived, Bobby Love had included a handwritten note! Not only that but he's sending a replacement hand stick for the one that broke yesterday due to my grandson's over exhilarated toss. One of the best companies and toys ever!

They are very good but I am still looking for the kind-style I bought from Jugglebug 30 years ago. Quality is very good and they are great for beginners to mid skill level.

Classic 90's style, but improved
I used to play with devil's sticks in the 90's, when I made them from wooden dowels, bicycle inner tube rubber, and colored electrical tape. They were fairly heavy and the amount of friction depended on how tightly you wrapped them. Newer ones tend to be lighter, with a piece of silicone tube sleeved over a rigid tube core. They have much higher friction and are probably easier to start with. These have the weight and comparatively lower friction I prefer. They have the added feature of the wooden core of the baton being a slender hourglass-shape, so the weight increases gradually toward the ends, for a fun dynamic to explore. They're durable and well put-together. And of course the nostalgia trip is part of my appreciation. One thing I might suggest to the maker is to make the wands and batons available separately as well as together, as inevitably something will be broken or lost eventually by some users.
