I always do bad with the automatic can openers or handheld ones, but the design of this can opener is great. I can efficiently open up the top and washing it is too easy

got this because the battery one stopped working and the rotary one doesnt grasp any more. this is amazing! a bit of a learning curve but easy peasy after that. good to have on hand, will never fail!

So I’m notorious for breaking traditional can openers. I’ve bought expensive ones, cheap ones, different brands they all seem to peter out and eventually stop working.This is the first time seeing or using this kind of can opener. I have had it for a little over a month and it took some getting used to and figuring out technique, but I think this can opener will well outlive any other can opener I have ever had. It’s sturdy and worth the money spent.

I use this to open all my cans. Like another reviewer has mentioned, it takes a little bit to develop the technique of using this. But once you do, it goes fairly quickly, just as fast as any other regular can opener. The reason why I bought this is because I see Japanese cooking videos and restaurants always use this style of opener. So I'm hoping they last longer than the standard american style opener which for me usually last like 6-12 months and that it. I will say that my wife struggles to use this. I don't know why it doesn't take strength it takes technique and she thinks it takes brute force so she makes me open everything.

Those crank style can openers with gears and cutting wheels are great when they work, but when they start to wear out, they just slip off the edge of the can and waste your time and patience. This handy can opener keeps doing it's job because there are no moving parts to bend out of shape. It saves a lot of frustration!This was purchased for my restaurant job because we go through a questionable number of cans of ketchup. We love it!

Love this thing, easier to use than a standard crank can opener and significantly easier to clean. It does create sharp edges on a can and can lid so it’s not ideal for kids or clumbsy people
