Useful Little Fastener
I wanted a better method of attaching the custom chrome bar ends on my aftermarket motorcycle handlebars than the cheesy compressible rubber plugs that were included with the set. I was familiar with these star nuts from back when the 'Aheadset' stem systems first appeared for mountain bikes. Turns out the 1-inch version also fits into the end of motorcycle handlebars providing a secure retention feature with nearly perfect centering due to the double star design. Very affordable too.
