Zebra Sarasa Clip 1.0mm Black P-JJE15-BK5 (5-Pen-Pack)

These are straight up the best ballpoint pens I've ever used. I've been using them for 2 years at this point after first seeing them used by a calligrapher on YouTube. I finally decided to review them, lol. The pen is strikingly smooth and consistent and produces a rich, jet-black line. I'm an amateur linguist and calligrapher (and maybe a little bit of a hypergraph) and writing is one of my biggest joys in life - this thing cuts it for literally every language I write in. English (Latin), Chinese characters, Hiragana, Katakana, Hangul, Greek, Cyrillic, Armenian, it all looks fantastic with this pen. I use this pen exclusively for Chinese homework too (switched to Pilot G2s at one point after I ran out of them and it was much worse of an experience). One thing to note is that these things run out pretty fast in comparison to other pens, but it's not unacceptably fast, and these things aren't priced that high either.

I love these 1.0 Sarasa clip pens. They make my handwriting neater and my notes also look nicer, every time I let someone barrow it they always say how smooth it is and how much they like it. I’ve bought these pens before and I can safely say they last quite a while.Pros:Last longInkyDark/Bold (ink)SmoothCons:Since the pen is inky it can take a few minutes to dry. As far as using them that’s the only downside.Overall I think these pens are a good investment if you don’t lose your pens often, it may become costly if you have to keep replacing them. Otherwise they will last a long time and write smoothly without a problem.

It's great. I wrote some simple numbers in Japanese and it is sooooo much better than the other dinky little pen I was using that I'd gotten for free in the past at some random hotel conference in Phoenix, AZ. This Zebra pen is amazing. It can do the little swooshes, like making a line end thinly, as is often seen in Japanese calligraphy. I only wrote 10 numbers in Japanese so far, and I'm still learning and need to improve my technique, but I instantly love the pen so far, and I'd definitely recommend buying it. I bought this pack of pens after seeing YouTube videos from Japanese Calligrapher Takumi (he was using this pen). This tool is like a magic katana that makes the writing better. SWOOSH! SHAAAAAA! THWAP! Take that, paper squares!

This is hands-down one of the best pens to write with I’ve ever had

I love these pens for their dark black ink, thick lines, and no skip. Comfortable in the hand in a standard way, design is more practical than pretty but does the job, click top makes for no missing tops or ink stained pockets/purses. Would make a great pen to practice calligraphy. Does not leave shading or bleeding on backside of page with average pressure. Will absolutely purchase again.

Just like the title says, these pens right really nicely, but there's not much ink in the refills, and the ink smudges very easily.

These things are fantastic! I’m just getting into gel pens, but they are more reliable than the sharpie s gel. The ink dries fairly fast, though not as fast as a ball point.I want to get a sarasa grand later. It’s a matter of taste, but I feel like the transparent body makes these look cheap.

This is my new favorite pen! Only problem is they run out quickly. Of your into super smooth free flowing ink try it.
