HomeSmart Weighted Blanket (25lbs), Fits King and California King Beds

So far we love this blanket. This is our 3rd weighted blanket and i think this is the ONE! First one was great (another brand), but it was too small. When they say Queen, they mean the size of a queen mattress. So it will cover the queen but not hang over. Returned that one due to size. 2nd one (another brand) was wayyyy too loud (sounded like a rain stick) and very cheap. leaked after one night. Returned that one too. Lastly, we found one that was true to size (HUGE), great material, comfortable and both of us get a great nights rest. Want a true to size blanket, great material, the feeling of being hugged all night? This is the blanket for you!

Very professional and with great feel. I've had other weighted blankets, this one you can't hear the weighted beads nor feel them 'bunching' up in the corners of the sewn pockets.The size is perfect for a bed spread on the king size bed.Wish this came in a 30 pound model.17May2020 - Noted 40 pound model was available. Ordered and delivered within the week. Best sleep ever. Quality is like the original - very good. Can feel the glass beads in this 40 lb model, can't feel anything in the other models. 5 stars!Can say enough about good things about this blanket.2 week update: This blanket has FAR exceeded any other weighted blanket I've had. The weight distribution is excellent. There's no shifting of weight. Would love to have more of these.

It's 82.5" by 99" so about 5.5" shorter than mentioned on one side and another 5" on the other.That being said, it still fits the bed just fine, heavy as h3ll, as promised. But not really what I'd called "being cuddled all night" as i was sold on haha** Found a way to make it more comfortable and every bit as "cuddly" as advertised. The issue was that it lays too rigidly on your body, each square is sown so that they each carry the same weight throughout, but it makes it so that they lay flat like spatulas, not really bending and folding naturally when you toss and turn, essentially HOLDING you down in one spot and saying "don't move!!"BUT I found that adding a comforter sheet BELOW the weighted blanket (you know, those fluffy cotton ones that aren't hot, just puffy) softens the way it LAYS on your body. The fluff from the comforter softens the creases and makes it so it DOES NOW hug your body softly rather than push on it at flat angles. It gives it a "relaxed fit"That fixed it and improved my sleep 110%!!

Update 12/27/20: We have had this blanket for almost a year. I have taken a star away from my original review, as the color has faded terribly. Both side of the bed where the light from our windows shine in- the color has faded from a nice gray to a washed brown. It is still comfortable and lovely, but I am disappointed in the color change.Original review:We bought this because I wanted one and kept insisting....husband was very hesitant. The first night we were worried, as it did seem pretty heavy. I am so glad we tried it, as we LOVE it! We both sleep so much more soundly. My Fitbit tracking must think something's going on, because the past few months that we've had it, I've slept harder and longer. My husband was worried about it making him hot, but the sand actually acts more as a cooling item than a warming one. In the winter, I had to put a light blanket on top of my side to keep me warm.It is very sturdy and hold its shape well. Also, the gray is beautiful.

I bought a King Size for a Queen bed to be sure there was enough overhang to not end up without a blanket during the night. The 25 lb is probably a little heavy for me, but it is meant to cover two of us so I bought it a little heavier. I find you can roll over, but you cannot fidget too much. I do feel it has a claiming effect after a crazy day. My sleep has improved based on my Fitbit readings with more deep sleep during the night. The fabric is soft and the manufactured quality is very good.

Reminiscent of sleepovers at Granny's house when I was a child. Under a great big ol' stack of quilts. Time lapse photography of me would leave one with the impression that my bed was a skillet and I'm trying to make certain I'm done on all sides. First night, (super fast shipping, by the way) I laid on my back, woke up in the identical position once to go to the BR, went back to bed for round two. Winner by KO, Weighted Blanket! ALSO, the wife, a skeptic and an insomniac was won over on night one as well. You'll fall asleep faster and wake refreshed after deep, undisturbed, restful sleep. Largest size fits our king PERFECTLY. Just the right amount of overhang. An outstanding product.

Our weighted blanket has been great!I would have preferred an organic purchase but my husband had his sights set on this one and aside from my personal preference of having an organic weighted one, this one meets the mark!It’s weight is spread evenly which I have found is great for more than just an even spread over the body!The bed is also SO EASY TO MAKE NOW!I don’t even have to make sure my sheet is pulled up and folded over. I just pull it up and sort of bunch it folded over, pull my weighted blanket up and fold over asweel and not a wrinkle one. It gives the impression that the bedding under is is neat. All because of the weight which also provides warmth in our 65°-70° bedroom and comfort of feeling the evenly spread weight over the body.I also steam cleaned mine with a hand held steamer I have on hand and although it’s not recommendedI’ve done it twice now and it just looks so crisp and clean! I couldn’t be happier with the product!

Not too bad for the price, not great either. Comfy enough, does give an almost secure feeling when using it. The material used for weighting the blank is not distributed evenly throughout the blanket at all. The material used for the cover is also pilling like crazy, a lot, much to our dismay. Washing is an exercise in weightlifting make sure to bring a spotter to hang it up to dry (no dryers allowed.)
