Great product. Highly recoomend.
This stove accessory does exactly what its supposed to in protecting the glass of our stove top. Plus it looks nice, and is easy to clean. While I wish a product like this cost less than it does, this does not take away form the top quality of this product. I give it 5 stars. However, be sure not to leave an empty pot on top of it with the burner on, as this will damage it,

Attractive induction glass top protector
When our cooktop center element needed to be repaired at a cost of over $700.00 I decided to try and determine why the electronics failed. When I removed the top I noticed the two burner areas that are most often used were discolored amber. I reasoned that the heat build up may have prematurely damaged the circuitry when using cast iron cookware. I am pleased with these pads. They are attractive enough to leave on the cooktop when not in use. They work well at reducing the radiant heat emanating from the cast iron cookware. They are super easy to clean. And, as they advertise, the pads are anti-slip and will protect the glass from scratches. I haven’t found scratching to be an issue with our cooktop and it wasn’t a consideration in my purchase.

Warning - Does not work with GE Profile induction range. Too thick.
These pads look like a good idea and are well made, but there are radial ribs on both sides of the pad that make the pad too thick. It is enough that it raises the pan 1/8" above the glass surface and the pan does not heat up AT ALL on my GE Profile induction range, which is a top-rated range. The controls report an error, which means that it cannot sense the pan through this pad.Readily available fiberglass-reinforced silicone pads such as Silpat, which are much thinner, work fine. I wanted something round which fit the area of the "burner" on the stove top.Oh, and another thing: don't forget that if you match the size of the pad to the burner, you don't get any splatter protection. Buy pads larger than the burner so they catch the grease and splatter. The Silpat pads work well for this as well.

Works as expected. Sturdy product!
I’ve used this on a Nuwave portable induction cooktop using cast-iron, enamel cast-iron and carbon steel pans and it worked very nicely. I also used it with an induction plate and had no issues. I was concerned the extra distance from the thickness of the mat between the pan and the induction coil might cause the pans to heat up less quickly or efficiently. But that does not seem to be the case. The mat is sturdy and very easy to clean and dry. Often times, I just need to wipe it with a sponge. Very pleased with this product and would it order again.

Prevented induction on new GE cooktop, this worthless
EDITED REVIEW: Turns out induction cooktops (mine at least) locate the burner sensors in the center of the burner area. This fact matters because most induction-capable cookware sets place a non-magnetic area in the center of the pan’s induction plate, almost always a disk with the maker’s brand logo stamped upon it. What this does is weaken the cooktop’s ability to detect the magnetic pan placed on the burner. The result has been to make cookware unreliable and unable to connect consistently, especially when these silicon pads are used, adding a little more distance between pan and sensor. HOWEVER, when I use iron cookware or cookware like Green Pan and some few others that don’t put a non-magnetic aluminum logo in their pan centers, the connection is strong and these silicone pads work very well. These look okay and seem durable. However, they appear to be too thick. My new GE induction cooktop did not work with this pad under the pan. Once I removed it and placed the pan directly on the glass, everything works fine.

Nicer than expected.
Actually, the mat turned out much better than expected. (Bought the size Medium also.) Just the right thickness to be durable, but not too thick as to impede the induction cooktop sensors from detecting the pan (or impairing the efficiency of heating from as best as I can tell.) The mat itself is like a Silpat baking mat, thin, translucent grey-ish color with fiberglass woven in. The black edging and black radial "spokes" are actually silicone bumps, raised up from the surface of the mat.I wanted these to protect the cooktop from scratching and also to stabilize a pot so that it wouldn't turn/slide across the cooktop when stirring. The mat does that perfectly. Looks pretty good on the black glass cooktop as well. No feedback yet on long-term durability, surviving the dishwasher, etc.

A must-have for induction cooktops
I've been using the 11 inch version of the Induction Cooktop Mat for nine months. I've returned today to purchase a second smaller one, and - though I don't often write reviews - thought my experience warranted doing so.I purchased a Samsung induction range and was wary of using my cast iron and carbon steel pans on the surface without some sort of protection. In the nine months since purchasing this mat, I have used it every day. It has discolored from use, but it has never once done any less than promised; namely protect the delicate cook surface, which looks as new as the day it was installed. With thunderstorms threatening tonight, I seared two ribeye steaks on high heat in a cast iron pan. When done, I wiped both the mat and the cooktop - with no issues whatsoever.Bottom line: Sure, the mat is discolored; I would expect it to be based on its composition. I didn't buy it as a stunning centerpiece to impress my friends, I bought it to keep my expensive range from getting scratched up when I use my favorite cookware. This is does very well and I can't recommend it enough for that reason... unless you have a glass-top electric range. Some of the negative reviews for this mat seem to be from folks who may not know the difference - so please make sure you're 100% certain you have induction before using a cooktop mat, or you're in for one hell of a disappointment.
