I bought a Black & Decker 20v sweeper to clean up the street and my sidewalks when I finish mowing. It came with a 1.5ah battery, which was just barely enough to get through the yard. I didn't like feeling rushed, and decided to order this battery to beef up my sweeping times. Well, not only does this thing run my sweeper for as long as I'll ever need it, but it also gave it more oomph! It blows air probably 25% harder than it was with the OEM battery. I'm overall very impressed with this battery. I've yet to actually run it out, and I use it twice as long as I did the original battery, so I would say the 5.0ah rating is pretty close to accurate. The build quality of the battery is good enough. It's plastic, but it's put together just as nice as the plastic on the OEM battery. In fact, it actually clips into my sweeper much nicer than the stock battery. I have only been using it for a couple months (roughly 10 mows, using it about 20 minutes a week), and so far it's held up just fine. Very very impressed. If you have any Black & Decker 20v products do yourself a favor. This battery is better than any OEM battery that you're going to pay 3x as much for. Even if you don't need the extended battery life the 5.0ah offers, get it just for that extra oomph for your tools!!

Purchased for use with a Black and Decker LST 400 lawn trimmer because the original one disappeared. Fit the LST 400 with no issue.Purchased in early April for 2020 season and have used it four times since arriving, all of it for residential lawn trimming and edging along sidewalks and driveway. Perhaps the longest being 35 minutes of actual use (not counting carrying it around) on the full charge. Other occasions, between 15 and 25 minutes of actual use, one of which was done a without recharging and letting the battery sit (indoors) for a week or so.Each time so far, lots of power for my tasks and there was charge remaining when done. Have not run it until no charge yet.UPDATE: Two years later, still works great. Near-weekly use May into October each year for the B&D trimmer and it has never run down. Recharges quickly.

Like the ideal it last even longer for those big jobs.

I bought this to use with my black and decker yard tools. The first couple times i used it, it was great. I really only needed to use it for my blower as the battery that came with it just didn't last long. However after charging it maybe 5 times it would only charge for a short time then the charger would flash red that the battery was bad. It would still work some, just not as long. After about 4 more charges, it now just flashes the bad battery warning immdiately and does not charge at all. Be wary, it sounded like a great deal for the price, but you'd have to buy at least 3 or 4 to last as long as one of the name brand. Lesson learned.

I attached this to my Black and Decker battery-powered trimmer and it still has plenty of power after trimming and edging all around my yard on two different occasions. With the smaller battery that came with my trimmer, I could just barely get around my yard before that smaller battery ran out of power. This battery appears to be of good quality, so I'm hoping it will last for many years.

I was hesitant at buying this since I wasn’t familiar with the brand, but I am happy with my purchase so far. I have been using it for about 2 months and I’m very glad to be able to run my weed wacker for another hour once my original factory Black and Decker battery dies. Using the factory battery charger that came with my Black and Decker weed wacker, it takes hours to recharge either battery. So I can’t really complain that this battery takes a long time to charge since the original one does too. It’s a bit bigger & heavier, but fits fine so I don’t care or even notice that much. The power is good and doesn’t seem to let up any until it is about to die. I would definitely recommend this battery for anyone looking for one for their Black and Decker tools.

It fits my string trimmer. Original Charger works with it.
