Pawtec External USB CD DVD Blu-Ray & Hard Drive Neoprene Protective Storage Carrying Sleeve Case with Extra Storage Pocket

This external drive case does a great job housing and protecting my external DVD-RW drive. Since a lot of newer computers don't have internal drives anymore (including mine), it's convenient to have an easy and safe way to carry around an external disc drive for when you need it. It has thick enough padding to protect the drive from drops. The neoprene material is nice because it's more of a water resistant fabric in case anything were to accidentally spill on it. It also stretches to accommodate larger external disc drives. Mine has enough room in it that it easily fits both my external disc drive and an external hard drive with room to spare. It has two zippered enclosures, one for the drive and a front pocket for any USB or power cables. I don't like having to put everything in the same pouch so it is nice to have a second one for any cables or accessories. Overall, this is a nice case that will fit most external CD/DVD/Blu-ray drives on the market and provides good protection from drops or spills. I definitely recommend it.

I have been using an external CD writer for some time to backup old CD's/DVD's of home movies and pictures and needed something better than a random plastic box to put it in. I wanted a compartment for the writer and a separate one for the cables. This one works perfectly. I feel much better having the writer protected in this when I travel. Recommend for any device that will fit.

I bought this as a case for my newly purchased LG GP65NB60 Slim Portable DVD writer, and it fits fine, even a bit loose. The external zippered pocket easily holds the cable for this external DVD drive too.Why only 4 stars? I feel the case material is a bit thinner than most other neoprene cases I've used for tablets, laptops, etc. and therefore is likely to be somewhat less protective. I'm pretty careful with my equipment, but things do happen when you're hauling your equipment around in a backpack on and off airplanes, so I would have preferred a bit more padding. Other than that, it's a good case.

It's listed as an External CD case - I don't know what sized CD units they have - but they are not the same as the 5 that I've gone through that are all similar in size. My primary drive is a Pioneer USB3 drive. As you can see from the photo there is PLENTY of extra room in this case for more items. I like to keep things as compact as possible while traveling. I'll use this just to protect the case, but I'll also be looking for alternatives. Thankfully the price wasn't too bad.

This is your basic DVD player sleeve. It's well made. It's well padded. It's not especially stylish, but if you are looking for function at a good price, this is the one for you. My daughter is really hard on stuff. I got her an external DVD player to take to college with her. She dropped the DVD player twice before I ordered this. She's dropped it since using the sleeve, but now I don't have a conniption fit when she drops it. I would highly recommend this little sleeve to anybody looking to protect a small device, especially an external DVD player.

Bought this to hold out LG Electronics External CD ROM drive and it is a perfect fit. It has the right amount of padding on it to keep the internal content safe and protected, without adding a lot of extra bulk, thickness or weight, which is important when traveling. I travel for a living as a technology consultant, and having the ability to take this with me on the road in my backpack is a huge bonus, however, it had to be lightweight and portable. This fits the bill perfectly. The outside pocket is a perfect fit for a something small, such as a cable, or thumbdrive

I chose this case over other brands based on the reviews, of course, but most particularly on the size of its front pocket: according to the pictures posted for this product, this case's front pocket is about two-thirds in size and the zipper is pretty straight. The one I received is only half-way up, and the zipper is much more "u" shaped (as it can be seen in the picture I took of the one I received). Had the picture been truthful, I would gave probably gone for the Lacdo case instead (similar front pocket, but better padding).

I recently purchased a new Macbook Pro, and I needed a DVD drive occasionally to move files from my work computer. I bought this sleeve to protect the new DVD drive from the dust that permeates everything here, and it has done an excellent job in keeping the drive pristine. The drive fits easily in the sleeve, and the front pocket is nice to store the USB cable as well as a couple other adapters I carry with me. I like the fact that I can throw this sleeve in my laptop bag with my Macbook and not worry about anything getting scratched up.
