PDP Afterglow Nur is a waste of time and money. 2 replacement time to refund.
To anyone who want to buy these headphone I highly recommend you keep away. I've pre-order these back in October and had to wait 2 month before i even got my first set. It is very well made and it "looks" perfect until you actually try to use it. The "boomless" mic is a POS!! it doesn't pick up any audio or your muffled. I figured I had a lemon so i replaced my first set which in turn i had to wait almost another month before i can actually get to use them again. Now finally I got my replacement on 1-6-15 and it even worse!! The first thing i check was the mic function and this replacement i have received doesn't even work at all. PDP other head set may work but this one is flawed. If your expected to pay about 160$ it should be a working product at that cost but it obvious that the company invested too much time on the construction rather than the quality and the MAIN purpose of these head set which is to use on your gaming console to talk. If this is a first batch issues I would change my review however after 2 head set in a row and I've waited 3 month and 3 weeks to get this well made piece of .... you can guess I definitely refunded these. Hopefully this is helpful to anyone thinking of buying this headset and that no one else should go through what i had to wait for. Thank you Amazon for the the flawless return service and refund.

if only I did not want to chat
This are very nice headphones they feel great and sound exelent. Sadly your friends just can't hear you. The mic is completely inadequate very very unreliable and has to be positioned just perfectly so your friends can barely hear you. I regrettably return these I wish the mic was better.

A summary of the headset.
Read several reviews it seems there is a bit of confusion. So let me share my experience with this headset (though I bought it without the stand).Comfort: In comparison to the PS4 Gold Headset, the PDP Afterglow NUR puts far less pressure around the ears. It is more comfortable than on on-ear headset like a Logitech h800.Audio: I used this with the the USB & Audio Jack on PC, and Optical & USB combo on PS4. Both produced great sound. Found it on par or better than a PS4 Gold headset, and far superior to a Logitech h800. The only issue which presented with mine is a bit of buzz or feedback in the headset. It appears it is an issue with Lemons (see the Afterglow FAQ) but working to get it resolved. I will update when it's resolved.Mic: There seems to be varied opinions on the Mic, it is boomless, which can be preferable, because the boom on most mics get in the way, and many wear poorly with use (they become wobbly and won't stay positioned). However this headset does require different settings than a boom mic. keep this in mind. Before I adjusted settings and calibrated the mic, it was muffled, and quiet. after calibrating the mic, those who I chat had no issues hearing me over chat. The NUR Headset picks up far less background noise than the PS4 Gold Headset (which is also boomless). This one also picks up less background noise than a Logitech h800.Looks: It's a little gimmicky with the lighting adjustment in the headset, but if you have multiple headsets, or you have kids with their own headset, it's a good way to separate them. The Lighting works well, and isn't overstated.User inputs: The dial volume knobs are well designed, it's nice there are separate volume controls for chat and audio. this is a nice touch. the mute is tied to the power button, so it gives a large side mounted button for when necessary, and a voice cue "Comms disabled" or "Comms enabled" so you know if the mic is muted or not. The same is true for the audio modes, it gives a vocal audio cue so you know what profile is activated. All the buttons and dials feel solid and well made.Overall it's a good headset. If you can find a Fener on sale (it's the NUR without the stand) it's a good buy. It's very comfortable for those long sessions, if you're going on raids, or an endurance race. You only hear what is through the headset, not what else is going on in the room.UPDATE -5.13.15 : PDP had prompt customer service (via creating a support ticket) I indeed had a defective unit. I was able to return the unit. Also the Mic when in use with (PC) sounded like I was underwater, or down a hallway, after calibrating. however this was after uninstalling the Sound Blaster XFi 3mb. It appears you need dedicated software for better mic performance.

Not what I expected
On one of the pictures, there is a device connected to the PS4. This leads me to believe that the transmitter is separate to the charging dock. I'm surprised to find that there aren't any when I opened my package. I already have an older model of the PDP headset and have not yet tried this one. I'm still contemplating if I should stick on this or go ahead and return this.

The mic on this thing is awful
The mic on this thing is awful. When I try to talk to my friends on ps4 they can barley hear me and they said I either sounded muffled or far away. Almost all the sound coming through your headset goes directly to the mic and causes constant echo.
