I use this for freezing onion from my food processor the large compartments are an ideal portion for my curries, just leave enough time to defrost. How long lasting are they ? will let you know later.

Not a massive amount to say about this one really, easy to use, creates massive ice cubes that don't melt quickly and can be put in any sort of liquid to make it cooler. I do like that it has a silicone lid, so you can get it to the freezer safely without dumping water all over the kitchen floor. The silicone seems well made, we've used ours a few times and no signs of any problems.

Arrived quickly, well packed. The tray is quite deep so if you have a specific ice cube shelf/tray, make sure it will fit before ordering. In use it works well, the silicon rubber tray is flexible but still fairly firm, with a lid which is good to avoid spillage on way to freezer with water filled tray. I find the end cubes seem to catch on the end plastic of the tray when removing for some reason so end up twisting the cube out, so this may shorten the life. The ice cubes themselves are quite huge, they didn’t fit in narrower drinks glasses and will only just fit down a pint sized glass! Good in larger whisky tumblers though. As a result the ice does last longer than smaller cubes and they look Impressive, just be wary of the size of the cubes! (Each cube is around 4.8cm x 4.8cm x 4.2cm deep (depending how full you fill the tray). Overall very good, but watch the size, they may be too big for what you intend.

brilliant and fun to take the ice cubes out the real question is how long will it last it does feel sturdy compared to other ice cube trays of the same size

Makes good size cubes and the silicon makes it easy to remove them. The lid is also very useful for storage and stacking in the freezer

I like the larger cubes in the glass and the lid does work fine. However once frozen the cubes are a pain to remove. Even when not filled to the brim, the ice is hard to push through and since the tray is soft, twisting it does nothing to force the cubes out. Not great but it keeps your drink cold longer (provided your glass is big enough).

Works great. The cubes are large, they fit in all my glassware besides a narrow highball glass and a champagne flute, so don't buy these if you're planning to have your prosecco on the rocks. easy to fill, the lid makes them very easy to transport to the freezer but does take the tiniest bit of dexterity to put on. The cubes come out easier than any other silicon ice cube tray I've owned, but not as easy as plastic.

Kaum zu glauben, aber in unserem Hausstand fehlten bislang noch Eiswürfelformen, um selbst Eiswürfel zu machen. Darum beschafften wir uns zu der anstehenden Sommersaison die großen quadratischen Eiswürfelformen von SLGOL. Der Name sagt ja schon, dass die Formen große Eiswürfel formen, aber als ich die Eiswürfelformen zum ersten Mal ausgepackt habe, bin ich doch etwas von der Größe erschrocken. Im Lieferumfang bekommt man insg. 2 Silikon Schalen, aus denen man jeweils 8 quadratische Eiswürfel mit einer Kantenlänge von stolzen 5cm herausbekommt. Das Silikon macht die Formen sehr wertig und angenehm in der handhabe. Zudem sind die Schalen so sehr nachgiebig, was es erleichtert die Eiswürfel herauszubekommen. Die Stege in der Mitte sind dagegen sehr hart und versteifen die Schale. Das ist auch immens wichtig, da dies der Schale Stabilität verleiht, um die Schale mit dem flüssigen Wasser überhaupt in die Gefriertruhe zu bringen. Nachdem das Wasser eingefüllt wurde, wird der Deckel auf die Schale gesetzt. Der Deckel schließt dabei eigentlich komplett dicht ab, wirklich hervorzuheben, da somit eine Sauerei in der Gefriertruhe ausgeschlossen ist! Danach kommen die Schalen in die Gefriertruhe. Durch die Größe der Eiswürfel brauchen diese aber schon mindestens 1 Tag in der Gefriertruhe, um überhaupt durchzufrieren. Alles in allem sind wir sehr zufrieden mit den Eiswürfelformen. Die Verarbeitung ist gut und eigentlich gibt es überhaupt nichts auszusetzen. Einzig die Größe der Eiswürfel sind etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber wenn man diese in einen schönen Schwenker gibt, kommen die Eiswürfel gigantisch zu Geltung. Von mir gibt’s daher volle 5 von 5 Sterne.
