Laljee Godhoo Hing (Asafoetida) 50gms

This is the brand of asafoetida my family used throughout my childhood. For everyone saying it smells too strong - you are literally supposed to use a tiny, tiny pinch! Do not use it in the same quantities as onion or garlic powder. It’s kind of your fault if you can’t follow simple instructions in a recipe.

I use this asafoetida in almost all my Indian cooking and it has become an essential spice in my kitchen. The aroma is strong and pungent when raw but transforms into a rich, savory flavor once cooked, enhancing dals, curries, and tempering perfectly.The quality of this brand is excellent. This is 100% asafoetida, if know anything about this herb. smells fresh, I have purchase this before from a near by international store. It last a little over a year. Once the smell is gone, it time to re-purchase.Yes I will buy this produce again, but this time from a black own business contributor.

My kitchen has never smelled worse. I knew this was an intense spice but I put inside two plastic bags in a bottom drawer and my kitchen still freaked. They need a more sealed packaging.
