I am SO glad I decided to purchase this flat iron! It exceeded my expectations. I've been wanting a new flat iron for quite a while. The one I had before, I had for at least between 10-15 years. It was time for something new. Note: I mainly use my flat iron to curl my hair, not straighten. No lie, I was initially tempted to purchase one of those automatic hair curlers. But I kept seeing reviews about them suddenly not working. Plus the price was a bit much for me. After seeing this one by Hot Tools, and seeing the great reviews...I went with it. Zero regret :) This flat iron is worth every penny and the quality of it, really, surpasses what it costs. The texture of it is smooth to the touch. Lightweight. I love how it's matte black with the bit of 'gold' near the base. This iron is a bit on the longer side but that doesn't bother me a bit. The cord is LONG! Something cool about this iron - near the base it has a little sliding switch that allows you to lock and unlock the clamps of the iron. You can lock it, which keeps the clamps close together, but there is a tiny gap between the two. Then unlock when you want to use it. This feature helps with it not taking up too much room! Every other flat iron I've had never had this feature. The power button is on the inner side, between the clamps. And no exaggeration...this thing heats up FAST. I'm talking not even 30 seconds. You can easily switch between temps by turning the very bottom of the base, which is practically a dial. It remembers the last temp you used; so even if the dial gets turned around, when you turn the iron back on it is at the last temp you used. In the instruction manual it shows the best temps to use on your hair type - I found that to be very useful. This iron is just great. It's lightweight, sleek. Easy to use. Like I said, I use flat irons to curl my hair - not straighten. But I find this iron gliding effortlessly through my hair, leaving me with beautiful curls. The ONLY thing that took me some time getting used to was that since the very base is the dial that turns to control the temp, I kept placing my hand there to hold the iron, causing the dial to turn. So I have to keep reminding myself to move my hand further up to prevent this from happening. Almost used to it now. So yes. Get this flat iron. It's worth every penny. I'm so glad I got this instead of the other one(s). Gives me great curls! Also cool how it comes with a heat protectant glove.

Holy smokes, this baby packs a punch and is worth every penny! I got it on a holiday deal and am so glad I finally decided to upgrade my 15 year old straightener. I had one that was about 80 bucks when I got it, and it's been so amazing to me that I never had a need for any other one. Although it isn't broken yet, the cord is starting to show the wiring and I for sure don't need my littles or myself getting snapped. This new one is insanely sleek, curls and straightens amazingly, is longer than my old one, and legit heats up within 30 seconds. I'm NOT JOKING. Full blown, 355° within 30 seconds. I love the easy adjustable temperature control, the locking feature, the fact it came with a hot glove protector for your hands, AND that it has an incredible cord that is longer than my old one. It doesn't seem to twist up, as of yet, but I really was not expecting to love it this much and figured I would end up returning it and researching what one I'd want. I'm so happy I jumped on the deal when it was shown, because I wasn't even searching for a new one yet- it showed up as a recommended item on my page. If you're hesitant, I get it, but worst case scenario you send it back and get a refund. Best case, you'll love it tremendously like I do!! For sure recommend to others. Cannot believe how quickly I can do my thick hair.

I like this hair straightener, it was affordable and works well. I appreciate how easy it is to change temperatures, simple on and off, plus has locking feature to keep it closed. We have used it a few months and it still looks new. No complaints and heats up quickly.

This is an excellent flat iron. No snags, it’s nice and smooth and also gives a beautiful curl. It gets full temp within minutes and even beeps to tell you it’s ready. My only complaint is the location of the temp dial, it’s right at the end and is very easy to accidentally turn up or down while curling. Other than that this flat iron is too notch and very sleek looking.

I had my last one for 7 YEARS, no issues. After it stopped working, I reordered. Great quality, gets hot fast, can straighten or curl. Totally worth it!

I just got this on Prime Day and it was kind of an impulse buy. I needed a new hair dryer and thought I might as well replace my straightener that I've had for like 3 years. I used it for the first time this morning and am so mad with myself that I didn't replace my straightener sooner! - fast to heat up - I have long hair that's fine - this worked well and didn't flatten my hair if that makes sense. Just straightened. I was almost hesitant to straighten with my old one because my hair loses so much volume when I do. Not the case here! - Does great for adding subtle movement, I never really have time for a blowout or the skill to do it well, so I used to add in waves/ loose curls but my straightener was pretty wide before. The shape of this one, while slimmer, does amazing at subtly shaping layers and face framing pieces. - speaking of face framing pieces, the old wide straightener ended up making them lay weird. This one does not. - the round exterior shape really helps it glide through my hair, no chatter marks or resistance and the plates are smooth too. I'm sure it'd do well with tighter curls - my hair doesn't feel fried or dry afterward - just smoother. - affordable to boot.
