Q: Is the unit suitable for out door use as is?

Yes they work great outdoors. I have 4 of them sitting on my roof, with a long USB cable attached to my Ring Stick-up Cameras. I just make sure that the connection is not at the lowest point so rain water does not collect in the connector. No problems with them at all and my camera's stay charged to 100%.

Q: Any quick hacks for weather proofing this? I live in fairly wet location (Seattle).

On the backside of the panel, run a bead of silicon chalk around the plastic ox to seal it better. As far as the USB connector loop it around so it is not the lowest point in your cable run. That way the water will not pool in the connector. You could also run a bead of the silicon chalk around the USB connection as well. Using the silicon chalk it is easy to remove to disconnect as well. Good luck, I am originally from Oak Harbor so I do know what you are talking about when it comes to being a wet location. I now live in Las Vegas NV and have the other issue ... the sun destroys just about everything left out in it.

Q: How do you mount the panel outside? Are there any holes to attach to? Is there a rubber boot to protect the usb connection?

Well ... For my application I just place them on the roof. The USB cable is long enough to go under the eve and I connect a six foot USB cable to that and run it to my Ring Stick Up camera. I then just stable gun the cable back under the eve. So far I have not had any issues. There is no holes to mount the panel. You could build a frame for them if you wanted. Been using them for a year now and as I said no issue with them. I did have one blow off the roof and it was hanger there by its USB cable just put it back on the roof. I have 6 of these on the roof charging 6 cameras I can not recommend them enough they work great.

Q: Will this work with the original Ring Stickup Cameras?

I have one powering a security camera outside my house that has a 5200mAH battery, it stays fully charged. Make sure it’s mounted where it gets plentiful sunlight.
