It’s awesome and feels great in the hand
It’s great in low light and I highly recommend for pictures. I’m a noob but can say the pictures it takes are beautiful and has really nice colors. It’s also light enough that it’s easy to carry and it’s easier to use than most cameras I’ve tried

But before use you need check the broken pixels and remapping them for manual.
Nice camera and easy settings for starter photographers. Many lenses for choice. I'm use lens canon 24 mm f/1.8 and it's very good set for astrophoto.

Worth every penny
Lightweight full for frame love it. I use it as a second body. But slowly start to become the first. I use it for landscapes and portraits.

What an amazing camera at this price
Canon has done something awesome here with the cheapest new mirrorless on the market. And it doesn't feel cheap at all! I've had it for a few weeks now and it's been great. The image quality is a significant upgrade on my 5d Mark 2, low light performance is great, autofocus is super fast and accurate, and it's very light weight. The R series cameras are amazing and this is no exception especially considering the price. It's a steal at under a thousand for an entry level pro quality body.

Trembling with pleasure and excitement from the first picture
I finally upgraded from my Rebel t3i, and after toying with staying in the Rebel series I saw that the RP can be adapted to use my EF lenses. I got the $100 Meike 50mm F1.7 prime so I'd have something native RF mount to try, and WOW, it's a whole new world of photography for me. My very first photo with this lens and camera is still my favorite, an evening closeup of my wife, CRYSTAL CLEAR with wonderful warmth and beautiful focus drop-off in the background. I was going to hold off buying any more native RF lenses until I got tired of the still good but not AS good performance of my EF lenses, but today I said What The Heck, and ordered the Canon RF 24-105 zoom. I NEED to see more of what this camera can do, and even THAT lens, at more than the cost of the camera, is a far cry from what clearly this baby can do if you can shell out the big, big money for the more advanced RF lenses. No regrets about this purchase AT ALL, this camera is a joy to hold and operate.

Comparison with the Rebel SL cameras
This mirrorless camera's viewfinder is digital rather than optical, so the image you see is actually what the photo will look like. And it can use eye detection for focusing and show you the results in the viewfinder. The eye detection works well, and it's worth buying for this reason alone if you're using a lens with a shallow depth of field like a 50mm. The downside is that it's heavier and bulkier, and harder to hold than the SL3. The body is 25% heavier, and you need an adapter for non-RP lenses. This camera also has a larger gap between the hand grip and the lens, so the lens is harder to hold. In low light its built-in automatic exposure settings tend to reduce the speed to 1/60 and increase the ISO to 10,000 to get clear but low resolution pictures. It's noticeably better in low light that the SL series, though still not as good as mobile phones that can align and stack multiple images into one. If Canon offered a built-in stacking feature, I'd think it would become a very popular camera. The eye detection only works when the camera can distinguish an eye's iris from the white cornea around it, and doesn't work if the subject turns away or moves too far back.

Great intro to mirrorless, pro or otherwise
As a professional photographer for over 10 years, I was incredibly excited to get my hands on a mirrorless camera. The difference is THERE. For the most part, the RP performs beautifully, especially in low-light, and slow-paced portraits. The images are crispy, especially when paired with high quality lenses. The Canon adapter works great as well. Where I ran into issues was highlight blowouts despite ISO being bottomed out. I found myself frequently underexposing just to try to avoid the blowout (given the low ISO paired with RAW, brightening shadows generally wasn't an issue regarding noise). Not only that, but burst shots drained my Canon and off-brand batteries QUICKLY. I've been shooting several weddings where I'm firing away on the shutter button, and the battery dies despite being fully or nearly fully charged (this could be a devastating mishap, if you know you know). Even an event as casual as a baby shower with mid-paced shooting, I found myself running to and from a wall outlet where I had to rotate batteries the whole time - an absolutely embarrassing moment for a professional photographer. I'm not sure if these two cons are a normal mishap with the RP or if I just got a lemon. Either way, I plan to upgrade to the R6MKii soon. All in all, it has been a MOSTLY delightful little camera to have, but I cannot risk my name as a respected photographer with batteries dying in the middle of a wedding ceremony. Would recommend for studio or portrait photographers. Absolutely would not recommend for sports, wildlife, or event photographers.

Great Battery life
This is a wonderful camera, my previous camera is the Canon 5D Mark 2. My new Canon RP does a great job, I have no complaints. I have read so many complaints about not being able to take a lot of images on one battery. Using my former 5D I could easily take over 1000. images on one battery. The other day I decided to do a test, The battery in the camera at the time was not fully charged. I shoot both a raw image as well as a small jpeg, this makes it quicker to edit. In any case after snapping and snapping the camera outside at where ever it was pointed, I was able to get over 500 shots, actually over 1000 if you count both the raw and jpeg fiiles. So if I am able to get 500 images on one battery then there is no problem, how long does it take to open the door and and put a new battery in. On the other hand, if a person were to use the camera for shooting video they may have a problem with battery life. Before buying a camera, do your homework to find what works the best for you.
