INTAKEKAI Performance Air Intake (Compatible with 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 TOYOTA RAV 4 RAV4 2.5 2.5L MODELS) (RED)

Easy install in my 2015 Rav4. Sounds amazing and definitely adds horsepower. You’ll need to make your own bracket to raise the air intake. This will make it look better, allow a less restricted flow of air, and will make the engine sound louder. I opted to cut snorkel out rather than taking the whole front off just to unbolt it properly. Took maybe 90 minutes from start to finish.

Installation was easy. Looks great, Engine sounds louder. However, Performance is an issue. The mass air flow sensor is not reading the value properly because the pipe is too big. This is causing air fuel mix to be messed up and low end torque is suffering. This is terrible because my wife hates it. Stock air box got trashed so I am unable to put it back to stock.

This Air Intake Kit is absolutely magnificent! The hardware and installation were manageable. At first, it seemed like the pipe of the new air intake was not going to fit properly in my 2016 Toyota Rav4 but after removing the rest of the piping from the stock air system, I was able to mount it according to the instructions. In addition, my Rav4 sounds and drives great!!!

Easy instal. Fits perfect. After a computer tune. It works great. Don't forget to have someone reset shift points and other computer settings and all that to maximize your performance and economy.

I installed this on a 2015 RAV4. If you install it how the directions say, the intake will sit sandwiched and crushed between the top of the engine block and the bottom of the hood. To get this to work I had to take a grinder and cut the bend out of it so it set where the normal air box would be. Overall I wouldn’t recommend buying this. You shouldn’t have to fabricate it to make it fit and work.

The cold air intake did not fit properly. All round a very poor design. You get what you pay for. I have to do some bending to the pipe. It’s also wedged against the ECU. I would suggest spending a little more money for the HPS cold air intake.
