Billington's Natural Golden Caster Unrefined Cane Sugar (1Kg)

This granulated sugar has no clumps in it and was packaged well. There is a light caramel flavor reminiscent of Lyle’s Golden Syrup, which is why I bought it in the first place.

Excellent product

I finally got a chance to try this sugar out, while making a Treacle Pudding. It really is a nice tasting sugar and melts very well.I did a side by side comparison of taste test of this sugar and C&H Baker's sugar (which is my usual baking sugar). Without side by side baking of the same recipe I can't actually compare melts, but for raw taste - the Billington's sugar is sweet, but does have a less processed taste. The granules are slightly larger and there is slight caramel taste and aroma.At $20 for 2.2 pounds, I can't make this my go-to sugar, but will use it for special bakes and keep watching Amazon for a lower price as it is impossible to find at any of my local stores.

I love baking with this sugar, for some reason it’s not as sweet as regular sugar.

I bought this because I can't get Tate & Lyle golden caster sugar without paying a fortune for shipping from England. It doesn't have the same caramelized flavor of Tate & Lyle. Just tastes like plain sugar. Guess I'll have to use golden syrup, which is available at the local supermarket.

This product is exactly what I ordered. I use it to make toffee for my biscotti. They turn out amazing. Best value for the money. We love it.
