Apple 18W USB-C Power Adapter

One thing I'm always afraid of while buying electronics on Amazon is if they're real or not. Fake electronics are a safety hazard and can catch on fire. This is why I bought this item, because it's sold by Apple. It's well worth the extra money to know that you're not damaging your phone while charging it or that the charger will catch fire. The brick itself is sturdy and sleek like other Apple products. It's slimmer than other chargers because it only protrudes vertically, making it easier to fit with other more bulky chargers (see the picture). I bought this because I wanted fast charging for my Apple products, which can only be achieved with USB-C chargers.

The charger arrived in its original oem packaging and was easy to set up. The only gripe I had was that it did not include a usb-c to lightning chord. I happened to have one on hand so it wasn't an issue for me, but others who are interested in this product should be aware that they need to acquire a non-standard cable to use it.All in all a good value and a very effective piece of hardware.

It’s a bit bulky, but it works really well and it never overheats! It will get warm when fast charging, but overall it stays cool enough so you won’t burn your fingers if you have to touch it. It’s a bit expensive, but this is the only charger I have been able to find that doesn’t get hot to the point of literally burning my skin if I touch it. All other (non-Apple) brands of 18W and usb-C chargers have managed to burn my skin. Maybe it’s just me? But I prefer chargers that last and don’t pose a fire risk —so far, I don’t have to worry about that with this charger.

Works great for my iPhone

When I got my new iPhone 11 the charger that came with it was taking hours to charge. And so I did some searching. I found that this ( 30.00 overpriced atApple + shipping ) on amazon and it was just what I needed but be aware you need a usb c cord not a normal usb. With the new cord ( also bought on amazon just type usb c but make sure it’s the thinner Usb end not the thicker one ) made a huge difference!!! ) Hope I helped you like everyone’s reviewing helps me.

[UPDATED] It turned out the my cable was the problem. The charger is functional with proper USB-c cable.[Initial Review]This device is detected as a PD charger by my Samsung Note 8, which is PD compatible. However, it fails to deliver high power. The speed is equivalent to 5w charger. Using the same cable but different brand PD charger, my phone gets full PD speed. The cable and my phone is working fine but not Ugreen charger. Please verify that with my pictures.

Gran producto de apple ,tengo el de 20w pero calienta demasiado mi iPhone 15 ,tanto que no puedo cargar con el,esta ahora estaba utilizando el de 12w de Apple,pero encontré este en Amazon de 18 w y es excelente,carga relativamente rápido y no se calienta ni calienta el teléfono,le doy 5 estrellas y Lo recomiendo a quienes se les calienta el iPhone con el de 20 w,bale 15 dolares mas q el de 20w pero vale la pena!!
