1 star review says there's an ingredient which is illegal in the US - which one? also, the sodium laurel sulphate is natural/unharmful from coconut?

As of yesterday, June 8, 2022, I received my 3-pack of Vicco and it says clearly on each box: "Ayurvedic Medicine for Gums and Teeth".

Why does the package say 'medicine' but the description says 'toothpaste'? Which is it? And what is the difference?

I believe it's because of all of the herbs they use in the ingredients, they consider it to be herbal medicine for your teeth. It's definitely toothpaste, and I personally highly recommend it. Since discovering this it's the only toothpaste I use. It's fantastic.

Does this help receding gums?

HI! I have been using this product for 2 years now and would never use any other. I don't have receding gums so I can't answer your question - I can only suggest that you try it. I also make my own mouthwash. I but 2 oils..1) Peppermint (food grade) and 1) Tea Tree. Get a small water bottle and try 15 drops of each..I use a bit more peppermont for flavor..shake with the water in the bottle and gragle with it after you floss..it is VERY healing..and yet, I use Tea Tree on just about anything that ails me :)

Can anybody say what this tastes like, i.e., licorice/anise/fennel, cinnamon, berry/fruit, anything to compare it to?

Good. It tastes like mint.. Good for your teeth. I loved it
