Red Paddle CoRed Original Stand Up Paddleboard Deck Bag

**UPDATE** I've now used this bag on a 4 day kayak camping expedition. I flipped my kayak twice completely submerging the Red Bag and the inside stayed bone dry. I was very impressed. I also paddled through about an hour of torrential rain and the inside stayed perfectly dry. Here is my one issue with this bag and if they correct it, it will certainly be the perfect deck bag. The 2 side water bottle holders need to be moved toward the front. As they are now, they are at the back making it very difficult to sit in my kayak and re-insert my water bottle back into the pouch. It's a long reach. If you are 6' 5" it's probably not an issue. This was aggravating but I dealt with it. Where the pockets are located now shouldn't be an issue with a paddle boarder, only a kayaker. I hope they read this review and consider making this modification.This is a first impression review. I will update this review after some time on the water. I was shopping Amazon for kayak deck bags and found the RED deck bag. I liked the way it looked and it's features. I did some additional searching on Youtube etc and decided to make the purchase. Yes, it's a little pricey but my last bag was too small and not waterproof. Time for a major upgrade. I received the bag and was very impressed with the quality. Top notch. Lots of attachment points and 2 water bottle pockets on the side. Not too big, not too small, just right for my purposes. I noticed the removable skeleton was not included. I immediately contacted the seller, Green Water Sports. I received an email from them in less than 2 hours saying the inside skeleton was supposed to be included. Before the day was over, I received notice from Green Water that the skeleton was being shipped and gave me a tracking number. Outstanding customer service from Green Water Sports. Since I'm putting this deck bag on a kayak, I really didn't need the paddle board attachments on the bag. I removed those and used small carabiners and cordage to attach to my kayak. The paddle board attachments were perfect if I needed them for such. It was very easy for me to modify because there are so many attachment points. As of right now, I can highly recommend this bag based on first impressions. I will update after I take it on a planned river trip soon. The only thing I would change on the bag thus far, is to put a bungee stretch collar around the top collar of the water bottle pockets to allow for larger water bottles. You can insert a large water bottle as it is but I want to use my 40oz. HydroFlask and the fit is too tight. A stretchable bungee would make it perfect.

The bag material are excellent, the size and features work great for SUP. The issue is the zipper gets stuck in the fully closed position. Other Red Deck Bag owners reporting similar issue and actual breakage. Red does not warranty the zipper. Buyer beware, this product should be recalled.

Just finished my first overnight SUP trip with my new deck bag. Bottom line, the bag is super high quality, water proof and the sipper makes it easy to get things in and out of. In the past I've used regular roll top dry bags or a waterproof plastic box but this beats them all by far.The exterior storage options were nice as well. I kept my sunscreen and chapstick in the small zipper mech pocket on the lid. Then I kept camera gear and other small items like trash and snacks in the two water bottle holders. They have a drawstring on them so you can secure your stuff in them.The bag is easy to secure to the board and doesn't move around on you since it has a nice flat bottom. You can secure it to any board that has 4 D-rings on the deck with the ropes and buckles the bag has on it.If you know Red Paddle Co then you know that their products are top notch. This bag was something I was hoping would come along eventually and it finally did. It will be on my SUP from now on.... Buy it... Don't look back lol

I am an avid kayaker and appreciate quality. I went to put it on my kayak for the FIRST time, I installed special D-rings fir it and one of the loops to attach it tore right off. The water bottle also ripped immediately from just handling it. 200$? Save your money. Totally inferior product! I haven’t never written a bad review before but felt the need to warn consumers and fellow kayakers.

Nice deck bag but way overpriced..... but so are there inflatables...

Everything is dry after my first trip with the dry-bag. The quick access is super useful. Inside the bag it‘s really hot after a few hours with sunshine so the food was warm while eating on the water :)Maybe an additional shoulder strap could be helpful for the future, but I will buy one separately.I’m really impressed by the quality. If would buy it again.

Not the cheapest option, but very well made, can take everything I need for a day trip and fits well on the front of my board.

Bin sehr zufrieden damit ist zwar verhältnismäßig teuer auf längeren Touren lernt man den Reißverschluss jedoch zu schätzen.+viel komfortabler als ein Rollverschluss+Wasserdicht-Anfangs ging der Reißverschluss sehr schwer nach dem einfetten lief er aber gut.in der Kobi mit meinem Kajak-Fixierung war sehr umständlich da die Fixpunkte des Kajakzu nahe an den Ösen des Rucksacks für die Karabienerhackenwaren hab dann eine durchgängige Paracord-Seil genommen und in ein Aluflachblech 3 Löcher gebort damit konnte ich es gut festzurren

Brought for paddle boarding and fits perfectly on the board, yes its pricey but you get what you pay for. The quality is amazing and I have flipped the board and no water got in the bag, I love that there are two bottle compartments so I can take more water when on longer trips.

Die Bauform dieses Rucksacks ist genial durchdacht. Ich habe bisher nichts vergleichbares gesehen, um es auf ein SUP Board zu montieren. Die Form der Rucksackes ergibt sich durch eine Art Spann-Platte, die in den Rucksack hinein geschoben wird. Leider war ich so dumm und habe diese Platte zunächst entsorgt weil ich dachte das ist Verpackungsmaterial… konnte es aber retten und so bleibt der Rucksack perfekt in Form. Die 4 Karabinerhaken sind aus Plastik, ich hoffe mal das hält eine Weile. Billig ist das Ding nicht, aber die Form ist für mein SUP wirklich perfekt.
