A di Alessi Parrot Corkscrew, Black, (AAM32 B)

I received a rainbow coloured one as a Christmas gift two years ago and have since received nothing but compliments for it. I bought this one for our house-sitter as she has complimented us on it as well and she is delighted. It looks stunning and is actually functionally perfect in terms of leverage angles, grip comfort etc. The perfect corkscrew, hands down.

This isn't the cheapest opener on the market, but it's the best. It's a design classic. A marriage of form and function. Great design. I love it. By the way there are cheap imitation versions on the market. I bought one and straight away you can tell it lacks quality. My only advice is treat it with care. Don't leave it rattling around in a cuttlery drawer like I did or the rubber coating that gives it great feel appeal will wear off.

I bought this for my son-in-law so I don't know how easy it is to use. It looks lovely, the colours are beautiful and I hope it will be a pleasure to use.

Beautiful item, as always with Alessi, but functionality is not up there with the best. Awkward to use.
