I've been using the 3-D Zots for several years now and they are great for gift baskets and candy cakes!When making gift baskets, I can arrange things perfectly only to have everything shift while transporting them to the venues. The 3-D Zots enable me to discretely secure things in place, so there are no worries about having to disassemble and reassemble baskets while setting up for the events. They also serve as great padding for the placement of delicate/fragile items.I was in search of the perfect adhesive for my candy cakes ever since I started making them. Hot glue melts the chocolate. Double stick tape will hold the candies, but only if enough of the surface is secured to the box, most of the boxes are round, oval or heart-shaped and the flat candies only have a small area that touches the boxes. Foam cushioned dots and tape aren't strong enough. And velcro dots were a complete NIGHTMARE that nearly tripled the assembly time!Because the 3-D Zots are thicker than tape and provide stronger adhesion than the foam products, I'm able to position the candies (and sometimes reposition them) without fear of them falling off before they're ready to be taken off. The 3-D Zots are easy to place and hold tight. The only downside is the price, most cakes require more than one box of 200 dots and at about $5 per box, they really drive up my over-all cost.

I use them all the time for gift baskets and even to put glass or ceramic items together for a temporary hold to make a raised dessert plate (candle stick and plate). I can be very creative with the zots and never have to worry about if they will hold or not. I would definitely by again.
