JIM DUNLOP Mini Dyna Comp Bass Compressor Effect Pedal (M282)

Per usual when dealing with mxr products.. built like a tank! An absolutely excellent value for the money. Standard power supply, no battery. Accurately and precisely compresses your sound while providing an additional "Attack" mode. This pedal really couldn't be any easier to use. Hard to believe the quality packed into this small little enclosure.

Took me a while to like this...not sure why but now that I have it dialed in...it is permanent on my board. And I am able to switch between a clean sound and one with a bit more grit to it...i use it at the end of my chain and also have a different brand comp. at the beginning of my chain.

Purchased the MXR Dyna Comp Bass Compressor Effect Pedal from GearTree through Amazon. The product description states that a Dunlop ECB003 9-Volt adapter is included as part of the purchase, however, the adapter was not included with the item as received. GearTree passes the buck, blaming Amazon fulfillment, which is not set up to provide a missing item, but it is clear the adaptor was never really part of the package.The thing is, it's still a good price, adaptor or not, and is a great pedal, so why misrepresent (aka lie)? This pedal does not take a battery, so if I needed it right away, I would have been in trouble.

Great pedal -- gives a great squish and sustain without a lot of fuss.If you want a compressor to even out your playing, you'll want a studio compressor with a fast attack. If you want to feel the squish and bounce without figuring out how a bunch knobs interact to get there, the M282 is great.

This pedal makes a very loud pop any time it’s turned on or off. Sounds fine when left on, but can’t use it live due to this issue.

The dyna comp has an attack boost button, that boosts your mids. Also has a Sensitivity and Tone knob. Get the best bass tone with MXR' s Dyna Comp Bass. A must have for gigging musicians! Absolutely made my bass tone way better!
