Good sturdy construction
The chimney cap came ahead of schedule. This is a high quality stainless chimney cap made of heavy guage stainless steel that will last many years. Good sturdy construction. Takes 10 minutes to install and your done. I have a 26 year old stainless steel Home Saver chimney cap on my other flue and and still looks and works great. Good investment. If you can afford it only buy genuine stainless steel chimney caps. They will last longer.

Quality product but mesh screen is taller than expected
This is constructed with sturdy stainless steel. It's much more durable than what I was expecting which is a good thing. Easy to install using just 4 screws that grip the outer edge of the chimney liner. My only observation is that the screen mesh is taller than I expected. It's about twice as tall as the one pictured. Seems to me that it's not going to prevent rain from blowing in sideways. My chimney was once used for an oil fired furnace. It now is only used to exhaust gasses from my hot water heater. Since I don't have a fireplace there is no need for that much screen mesh. I purchased this for the sole purpose of keeping out the rain. Oh well, something is better than nothing.....

Nice Quality
This is a much higher quality chimney cap than I could find locally for considerably less money. The stainless should last much longer than the rusty painted steel cap it replaced. The sizing was perfect for a standard 8x8 flue and the screws made it easy to install, even in the winter. Highly recommended!

THE BEST AVAILABLE
I bought four of these...one for each of my flues. They fit well, were easy to install and function well. All four have weathered several storms with 50+ mph winds and didn't blow off or loosen. They are well constructed of quality and heavy materials and I look forward to their lasting for many years.
