Gibson Gear PRWA-020 Switchwasher - Black with White Imprint

Been eyeing this one for a while as the paint on lettering on the one that came on my used Gibson Les Paul was already chipped off when I bought it. It was as high as $20, and wasn’t thrilled about another $20 expense on Gibson OEM plastic. Then it dropped to $10 so decided to take a shot. It’s an OEM Gibson “poker chip” washer. Packaged well, arrived in 2 days. I would recommend.

I give this White on Black Switchwasher 5 starz after it fit perfectlly without and tools or any trouble. Thats right, no tools! No drilling, not routing, no painting,slips right in!And a great price, compared to the rest of the interweb stores as of April, 2013.Glossy black plastic with bright white letters to go with Chrome hardware.I am the lucky owner of a 2006 Alpine White Gibson Les Paul Studio with the now valuable"DISONTINUED FOREVER" Gibson ebony fretboard (because of the Obummer adminstration) slim profile neck.These Les Pauls came from the factory with GOLD plated hardware that rubs off after awhile.I am replacing ALL the gold with CHROME, and this Amazon rhythm treble pickup selector washer:Gibson Gear PRWA-020 Switchwasher - Black with White Imprint is the perfect factory replacementand looks fantastic! This is a fake product. Why? I have attached a picture of a genuine Gibson product to compare. First, the word pure is seen under Gibson and secondly the words Bench tested, Builder Approved are seen at the bottom. Not on this package.Also, three bar codes where attached at the back. The one on top said Gibson and the two below it where different labels. Now I know that all product nomatter where they come from always carry the same serial number so that means they are covering their tracks by switching labels before going through boarders.The product it self is badly painted and smudged compared to the ones I have on my Epiphone. I have two Epiphones and I refuse to believe that they have better quality control than Gibson products.The reason I got this product is because I thought it was genuine. I could of easily gotten it from Gibson's website but I wanted to save a few bucks on shipping. Look at the pics and make your own decision. I'll be honest, it looks way better in the picture but when you see it up close you can tell it's fake.

Always good to trick out your new axe! Adds a nice touch of vintage Gibson class! I knocked a star off because the one I got has an uneven engraving job in the middle of "RHYTHM."

Like others said, the quality us definitely not that of a true gibson part. The printing is poorly done and not crisp. However, the price was good and i needed the white lettering, so good enough to keep. You cant expect a true quality gibson part at a cheap price.

Perfect fit on my Epiphone LP 100.... My beginner guitar. Had to decide if I wanted to sell my LP-100 after upgrading to an LP Standard. Decided to keep LP 100 for sentimental reasons but wanted to get rid of Cream colored trim. Swapped out cream colored pick-up trim and the poker chip for Black ....love it

If the washer had looked like the one on the Gibson Gear page I would have been happy. Unfortunately the washer I received looked like the text had been hand written with tippex.(See photo) Promptly refunded by Amazon.

Poor quality writing. Comes in what looks like genuine gibson packing but with the quality of the product it must be fake.
