Clicks are indeed quieter than my Logitech LS1 laser mouse, but the scroll wheel is still annoyingly loud (very slightly quieter than the LS1). I click every few seconds. When I'm scrolling through a long document, I make a loud(ish) noise for a considerable period. I was hoping this would have a relatively silent wheel (as I recall from an old Razer diamondback).Also Logitech describe the scroll wheel as "2D", but in fact there is no horizontal tilt support (at least, I can't get it to emulate the tilt on the LS1).I'll keep it as a mild improvement for the sake of my colleagues, but "silent mouse" it's not, particularly in the area that annoyed me most.

Very quiet (not that this is of any concern to me) and a soft click which is nice. I would have chosen the red but thought it would attract the attention of my little one so I went for black instead, but it's still smart. Set-up was easy: simply turn it on, plug the USB plug-in into the PC and it will configure itself. I did have to adjust the pointer speed as it was supersonic. My only gripe is that it feels a bit small for my not-overly-large, female hand. I like to be able to rest the palm of my hand on the mouse and I can't on this.

had this for about 6 months now and still using the single AA it came with. click is nice and quiet but is still tactile. good for browsing and other things but probably not good for gaming. not the most responsive mouse.the switch on the bottom of the mouse is nice. it allows you to switch it off when you're putting it in a bag. the mouse goes on standby if you leave it for a while. turns back on after about a second if you move it.the dongle is small enough to leave in a usb port or you can put it back in the mouse if you like. great mouse for laptop users.works with chromebook.

So Logitech built this mouse to be silent? Well you could have fooled me. The click does not sound like it is reduced by 90% to me - more like 65 or 70%. I have a cheap mouse that I bought and it is better than the logitech in that it actually does sound like the click is reduced by 90%. The Logitech mouse also has a louder scroll wheel and does not have any small pads underneath the mouse which my cheap mouse does. This means that if you lift the Logitech mouse slightly and put it back down it will make a clunking noise depending on which mouse mat you are using. I bought it at a reduced price for £13.50, but would not pay £3.50 for it so returned it.

I find the buttons on this far too light. I keep accidentally clicking things just from the weight of my fingers gently resting on them. Maybe I have fat fingers :)I find the M235 much better and to be honest the clicking noise of the buttons is not really a problem for me.

It's smaller than an average mouse and the silence of it is unnerving at first. But after you've gotten used to it, it feels really nice. It's small enough to throw in your bag (or even slip into your jeans pocket), but is one of the best mice that I've ever used. Excellent product that won't break the bank.

This is a middle range mouse that has almost silent clicks but still not as quiet as it could be. The mouse would be ideal for an actual mouse (rodent), but not so good for human sized hands. It works and does what it says on the tin, almost suprised it's not made out of tin..... I would personally consider other mice if you are looking for a silent one.

Very smooth and nearly silent. The middle scroll wheel is, while quieter than most other mice I’ve had, audible when scrolling fast. I guess therefore its not really a silent mouse!, but v happy with it anyway.
