Taste and availability
All our local stores stopped carrying our favorite coffee. It has so much flavor. Once you try it, you'll love it.

Long time coffee drinker, very satisfied.
I've quite literally been drinking coffee since I was on a bottle, my grandparents were strange and put it in my milk. I grew up in a house where no one but myself drank the black brew, but I never gave up on the stuff. As an adult, on my own, I've branched out and tried a lot of things with coffee. Moving from drip machines to percolators, testing out pods and k-cups, finally settling (so far on french press). I say all this to provide some small credential. This might be the best coffee I've made in my own home to date. Each day I put 10 oz of hot water and 1/2 oz of coffee grounds in my french press and soon enjoy a fantastic, medium bodied, tasteful brew. I got onto the Luzianne for the chicory, having read about it having calming effects for those with mild nervous disorders. I can't say with any real assurance that it's helped me suppress panic attacks, but it certainly hasn't made the coffee bad. The flavor is more smooth and less acidic than the various brands I've tried to date.I'm a huge fan of this coffee and the price is fantastic. The only thing cheaper I'll drink is Chock Full O'Nuts, my old standby. If you're looking for a chicory coffee, or just one with a different taste and feel, I'd highly recommend starting here.

best coffee around
I grew up drinking this coffee. I'm not one of those coffee snobs who order "grande mocha latte with double espresso..." at starbucks. I really don't know what all that means. I want a cup of strong coffee that's not bitter, and I din't want to pay through the nose for it. Luzianne coffee with chicory makes that cup, and very inexpensively. But it appears I'm a rare individual, because this stuff is hard to find. I grew up in Mobile, Alabama, where we could find it in most supermarkets. Now we live in louisianna, where for some reason it is virtually imposible to find. We were reduced to stocking up whenever we went hom to Mobile to visit. Now the store in Mobile close to my mother has changed owners and they don't aappear to be stocking it.I am finding Amazon to be the go to place for just about everything, but hadn't really thought about it for food items, so on a lark decided to look. Not only did they have it, but I was able to set up a subscription for recurring delivery! Amazon comes through again!Oh, yeah, this stuff is strong. I use seven coffee scoops, which I think are equivalent to tablespoons, for a ten cup automatic drip machine. Experiment to taste. But the chicory really does cut the bitterness.

Excellent Southern-Style Coffee
I did not really know about coffee with chicory until I received a pound of it as a Christmas gift from a friend in Savannah. I loved it but, alas, was unable to locate a store within a reasonable distance from me that offered it for sale. So, as I often do in such times of frustration, I turned to Amazon dot com. And they, of course, offered it at a reasonable price so I ordered some and it arrived speedily and in good order.I love the deep, dark rich flavor of Luzianne coffee, something enhanced by the chicory addition, yet also notice that it is not so hard on my nerves since I suspect (but could not prove) that there is less caffeine in the mixture. I still get my morning pick-me-up but not the eyeball rattling jolt that I got from some straight coffee blends. For anyone not acquainted with southern coffee with chicory, I suggest they give Luzianne a try. It's good coffee at a good price.
