Mattel Thomas The Tank Engine Cotton Hooded Poncho Bath/Pool/Beach Towel

No, this towel is not super thick and absorbent, which seems to be a major complaint of other reviewers. But at the same time, I didn't think swim towels are supposed to be thick, so that they dry out faster. My little man loves this towel! I've washed it several times and haven't noticed any fraying or threadbare spots yet. I'd say it's fairly soft, and seems to be getting softer with each wash. I do like that I can put it over my son's head like a poncho, or turn it sideways and wrap him up in it like a regular towel. Fits my 32" tall, 30lb toddler about right - I would say for ages 1 to under 4.

I love this towel and so does my son! It looks a bit thin but after the first wash it still held up well and all seams are intact. No color fading or shrinking. The front (outside) of the towel is all color and the inside is white. I don't think it will last long but I don't mind. I guess it should be thin to be lightweight and easy to wear if you're only two and a half feet tall...

My child loves his towel cover up and we use it weekly after his swim lesson. It actually has held up nicely after weekly washes for I think now two years....? We get a lot of compliments at the pool too.Worth the price for any Thomas fan!

I wouldn't have paid a quarter for this at a garage sale so you can imagine how disappointed I am for having paid full price. The material is so thin and stiff, the hood was sewn on BACKWARDS and the dye from the hood doesn't match the body of the towel. The little boy I purchased it for will still like it but I don't have high hopes for this towel's sustainability through multiple uses.

I bought this for my two year old son, as he is obsessed with Thomas. This is a very nice towel, thicker than I expected and soft. We use it mostly for drying off after being in the pool or playing in the water. He loves it because it is Thomas. It seems to be holding up well to machine washing and drying.

My 2 year old son loves this. The material could be softer. After just 1 wash it looked well used so I use it for post swimming now instead of post bath. The colors hold up well in the wash so that part is great. It goes over the head like a poncho instead of like a hooded towel so make sure that is the style you are looking for.

The towel is very cute however packaging pulls the threads on the towel. I would have returned it but my grandson really loves and he's 2yrs old so didn't see the pulls. Really don't think there needs to be so much plastic ties for a towel.

My two year old got this from the Easter Bunny (along with some Thomas books and Thomas Swim Trunks) and he LOVES it. He requests it every night after bath time. Good quality and super cute. It dries pretty quickly too which is an added bonus since my son wants to run around wearing it after his bath
