Gave these a chance even with all the negative reviews, right out of the package looks to be almost fully charged and the light works, seems to be well made and not falling apart as some people mentioned. I Hooked up my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone that had a existing 60% charge and after 1.5 hours it charged the phone back to 100%, about the same time if I plugged into the wall.Had more than a 3rd of the battery on the charger left to charge other electronics so the claim it will charge a phone from 0% to 100% in 3-4 hours looks valid. Battery pack stayed cool to the touch while charging the phone and about the same for charging the unit back up via the wall socket, maybe it was a tad bit warmer which is normal. These will be great for camping, hiking and any other time you are away from a power source! Don't leave home without one!

Bought these and the charger got really hot within 15 minutes..great idea, but this might not be theone to buy

they don't work, period.

These are great power banks and I used them constantly on a recent trip overseas when outlets were in short supply. Highly recommend this item and you can't be the price. I had one hiccup in my order -- the end cap on the charger was loose and I ultimately lost it. I didn't return it because it wasn't worth the trouble. So -- when you receive your order be sure to check that nothing's loose.
