Fantastic tool. I had no idea how effective these were. My expensive stud detector is mediocre to poor for most purposes. The best thing it does is detect electricity. This simple magnetic tool pops up firmly over every dry wall screw. Find each screw and easily map out where the studs are. Worth every penny. Saves time and frustration.

Nice, simple, and inexpensive. I needed a stud finder so I could mount a TV, and didn't want to spend a lot, and it worked just find. The ball clicks to the middle, making it easy to detect the stud (it detects metal, so don't try to drill on that specific spot on the stud!)

I bought this after 2 other stud finders didn’t work on my plaster walls and I didn’t think this one would work either but it worked great! I was able to find the studs quick and it was very easy to use.

Ok. We just rented a house with all plaster walls and I couldn't find a stud anywhere with my magnet or my stud finder. I came across this on Amazon, read the reviews, and thought I'd give it a try. This product is no joke, I literally found the first nail in the first stud within the 7 seconds it says it would find one, when my other tools and methods failed for over an hour. Such a simple product yet incredibly helpful. Last night I put at least 12 2" screws in the wall, and 2 nails, and I never missed a stud, not one! I would recommend this product to anyone for any type of wall, drywall, plaster, tile, etc... Best product I've bought in a while that does what it says it'll do!

Absolutely love this thing! I am literally that person who cannot find a stud with a stud finder. But with this thing, I have been able to find studs all day long. I say that, but there is a caveat, you do have to search for the nail in the stud. So as long as you’re able to find the nail, you will be able to find the stud. I will definitely be buying more. I highly recommend it.

I had high hopes for the StudPoP® "Original", but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. While it does eventually find metal fasteners in studs, it's not as quick or effortless as advertised. You have to move it slowly and carefully across the surface, which makes it less efficient than other stud finders I’ve used. That said, it does work once you find the right spot, and I appreciate that it doesn’t require batteries. However, if you’re looking for fast, reliable stud detection, you might want to consider other options.

This device is light weight and easily glides on drywall. Unlike a magnet, you do not have to feel for the fastener. The little red ball jumps up.

A simple and effective way to locate wall studs. This detector is magnetic and works by reacting to nails or drywall screws. It works when the electronic detectors don't. And, it doesn't need batteries.

For years I have shied away from stud work, mostly because it was just too tricky to locate them accurately. I had previously bought an electronic detector which was okay(ish) for electrical cables but utterly useless for studs. Then I needed to install a 100" projector screen for a home cinema project, and I knew I couldn't just screw it into plasterboard. After some research, I saw this advertised on You Tube, thought it was worth a try. To my amazement, I was able to locate all the studs behind the sloping ceiling plasterboard and mark them within a few minutes from opening the plastic packing. The little toggle moves and clicks, clearly indicating the nails or screws in the plasterboard and, therefore, the precise location of studwork. The screen is now mounted securely on battens screwed across six roof studs. Small, simple and damned effective. Easily worth the money.
