Principles of Managerial Finance, Brief (7th Edition)- Standalone book (Pearson Series in Finance) 7th Edition

I recently completed my degree after having been out of school for years. Although school books are still too expensive, this new option of renting via Amazon is amazing. Saves a lot of money and is easy to use.The book itself...well, it was okay...it was a necessary tool for a required course. It was easy to follow and clearly organized.

I hate paying a lot of money for textbooks I don’t even use so having the option to rent is awesome!

This was the textbook for a finance course I'm taking as part of a degree program. I found the book to be very well written and what I liked most was that it used concrete examples to explain the concepts and application of the formulas. The book is not intended to make someone an accountant, but is instead for a manager who needs to understand finances and the underlying theory and practical aspects as tools to make decisions. The authors explain each concept, give examples of the application of the concept, and then provide step-by-step instructions to perform the calculation using either a financial calculator or Microsoft Excel. This is a book I'll keep after class is finished, because I can see myself referring to it in the future.

So I have zero experience in finance whatsoever, my undergrad was in communication. I picked up this book for my MBA class and felt like they did a really good job of explaining the material, even for someone in my situation. The book does a good job of relating real world work situations as well as situations that a person would face in their personal investments and finances. It does offer online tutorials that we didn't use, I would assume that this would also help with understanding the material.

The book is the more or less the same, but just note that there is about a 38 page difference between the global and "regular" (the one with the blue cover) edition. So, I had a hard time navigating class with this book because he referenced different page numbers. If anything, I would just go to Chegg and rent the hardcover unless you want to keep it, I guess.

Rented book and it was as described. Had noticeable wear but no writing inside or pages missing, so it did the job. Would rent again.

Just wrapped up this class. This book is great, I would seriously recommend it for people in general to learn about the basics of finance. The seller of this item was also wonderful. Got the book in 2 days, no wear and tear at all.
