The blue bird is perfect but the item arrived in a manila envelope and the box holding the blue bird was completely smashed & blue bird was floating around in the envelope. An edge of the box was ripped- it wont make for a “lovely presentation” as a gift to a friend. I’m a little embarrassed gifting this to a friend in the smashed box it came in. Included in the item was just the business card size To/From and it was wrinkled too. I thought it was supposed to come with an index card explaining The Blue Bird of Happiness.

I attended U of Arkansas in Fayetteville which is where I first saw a Blue Bird of Happiness. I bought 2 larger ones for my mama and daddy and 3 smaller ones for myself, my brother and sister. As we grew up and went out on our own, mama would give us a blue bird of our own. She always kept the original ones on her kitchen window ledge as a daily reminder to pray for us all. As we added to our family, we also added a Blue Bird for every member. I now have represented on my window ledge my husband, myself, our son (who is single), our daughter and son in law who just had their second child. As I collect one for my ledge, I give one to each child. She has two larger ones and two smaller ones. So the tradition carries into the third generation. It is just a lovely little reminder of those whom we love and aren't nearby.

It was my fault as I wasn't paying attention! I had a bluebird that has made me smile and feel strong each morning. I bought 8 of them for gifts this Christmas and didn't realize they were so small (although adorable). So, there is nothing wrong with these bluebirds if you know they are little. I was just surprised and it was my own mistake. I will order 8 of the larger size and my recipients will own 2 darling birds

Great Housewarming....Great baby gift.

A great addition to any collection of figurines, in particular, bluebird figurines. Sunlight shines through and they are just beautiful. They bring luck so grab any of this glass makers, because they are extremely well made and sweet to look at.
