Sweet Maria's Big Baking Bible Hardcover – January 1, 2008

This is such a nice book!Since this seems to be out of print I got this in GOOD condition USED. Amazon Fullfilment unfortunately, didn't pack it well and I got it rather creased because it was packed with a handled item I ordered separately and the book wasn't wrapped closed. Handle got in the pages and creased several and tore one. I fixed it with tape and my iron. Sadly; I paid primo for the book but since it's out of print......take what I could. I did complain to Amazon about their packing process.The book however: I love how it's setup and the recipes look fantastic. I am a baking book collector!Thank you.

This is an amazing book! I got this as a present and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! I was really surprised at just how many great recipes it had in it! I found so many recipes in it for desserts that I loved as a small child. The great thing about this book is that it's actually three recipe books in one so it covers a lot of different types of desserts. It is my absolute favorite dessert type cook book. Its really great for someone that wants to find a baking cook book that has really great recipes for cookies, cakes, pastries and desserts in general without having to buy a bunch of different books. Would HIGHLY recommend it!!

I purchased it used and was the most I have ever spent on a cook book. But I was looking for one particular recipe and it had it.

Would have preferred photos of finished products.

Excellent recipes! Not really necessary if you have the cookie book, but does offer great Italian recipes!

I have made several recipes from this book and they were delicious. It has a wide variety of desserts in it so you can accommodate anything your looking for. My only complaint (why 4 stars and not 5)- is this book would be about a hundred times better if it contained color glossy photos of the finished product, so you have some idea of what it should look like. Otherwise i recommend this book. Maybe the next edition?
