Great Value, size, design and weight. Unit designed for water based solutions; be aware...
I states specifically in manual to use water base solutions and a minimum of 4 gallons. Most of us want to use mineral spirits but for safety concerns I decided to try a water base product. The two possible choices that didn’t break the bank that I found were; wd40 degreaser for 9.99 a gallon or a 5gal container at tractor supply for $43. I chose the WD-40 degreaser because it specifically states it will prevent flash rusting. Because Lowe’s only had three gallons I ordered forth on amazon, before it came I tried unit and it worked great on the three alone. (Not sure how 5gal will even fit, it looks full on 3). I used it so far to final clean cv joints and it breaks grease down well. Unit is built well with drain plug soo if left open fluid can be sealed from evaporation. Size is ideal I think for most people when you consider the sink was otherwise used. The unit closes and latches on a Vw jetta drivers side axle even so your typical smaller parts will work with this nicely. I used bigger units but if space and budget are concerns and you have a taste for quality this is the best option I could find

Works very well.
First off, the unit itself is very solid, and well put together. With that being said you have to use water based cleaning solutions because it is all plastic. I chose simple green crystal for my cleaner. Water based cleaners work better when heated, so i added a GRILLME 1000w heater with temperature controller. I also added a 1/4” 1/4 turn ball valve to limit flow, it tends to splash a bit when the flow is wide open. After those simple mods it cleans everything you want. From motor cycle parts, tools, firearms, you name it with absolute ease. I have about $200 invested in the whole thing with mods. And all it required was a phillips screw driver and a 3/8 drill bit. I did use the parts washer before i made the mods and it still worked very well when using hot tap water. As the water cooled the cleaner became less effective and require more work to clean parts.

Works good with water based cleaners, not petroleum based.
Works good for water based cleaners, which is not an option for me. Filled with mineral spirits. The next day the pumps rubber bushings had swelled up enough to lock up the pump. Replaced the ruber bushings with hard plastic bushings and has worked fine since.

Arrived broken
The washer arrived, I filled it with cleaner, but it would not work. I could hear the pump running, but no cleaner came out the hose. I called and the representative suggested I pull the pump from the sump and see if I could determine the problem. There is a cheap plastic fitting which screws into the pump and the hose attaches to it. That fitting was broken. I replaced it with a brass fitting I had on hand and used a new hose clamp. The washer now works as intended. I don't think I should have to repair a new washer before I have even used it. But how do you send back a parts washer when you have already filled it with cleaner? And would a replacement have the same problem. I fixed it with my parts, it works, but I am not happy. Don't buy this parts washer unless you want to do repairs on it. Now, do I continue to use this washer since I fixed it, or do I drain the parts cleaner out of it and send it back? No good cheap piece of junk that wastes my time.

Great parts washer for home garage
I purchased this parts washer to use in my garage. I like to work on my motorcycles and cars myself and was getting tired of cleaning parts in buckets. The Bikemaster Parts Washer works very well. The construction appears to be very sturdy and the pump operates quietly and smoothly. I have used if for a few hours so far and have been very happy with the results. I especially like that I can close the lid when I'm done and everything is contained. If I have one minor complaint, its that the pump is quite powerful and often times I found that I was splashing cleaning fluid outside of the container. This is more of a user problem than a product issue but I figure that I would mention it. Overall, I think this is a great product and I would definitely recommend it.

Perfect for a small garage
Been using it every day for 2 weeks now and it's awesome, specially for the price. I work on motorcycles, mostly dirt bikes, and it does a great job cleaning parts. I use Totally Awesome as my cleaner, can get it just about anywhere. Only complaint is that it is pretty small and I have a hard to me cleaning longer parts such as fork legs and swingarms. For a small garage tho it's amazing !!!

Broke the pump within 2 weeks, gaskets and rubber swoll up.
I liked the unit at first and used it immediately. I filled it with several gallons of Crown PSC 1000 (Petroleum Distillate). The flow from the pump was really fast and splashed all over the place. I had to clamp it to restrict the flow. A week later, after not being used, I tried to fire it up and the pump just hmmmed. Also the oring seal on the inside drain had swollen, unusable. I pulled the pump and tore it apart, it was made very inexpensively. The rubber inside the motor had swollen too causing too much friction on the impeller... it was binding. I ground the rubber down and it was running free again. As for the oring, I ordered a new one (generic part no. 233) and fitted it on the plug. Oring 233 ID 2-7/8", OD 3-1/8" and approx thickness of 1/8" fits well. We will see what needs replaced or upgraded next. I do hope I can keep it running for years to come but feel it is a 5 year piece of equipment. At least it let's me know I can possibly build my own next time I have to replace it.
