Precious Moments, Your Heart Speaks Through Dance, Bisque Porcelain Figurine, 830020

When my daughter opened this up at Christmas, you could feel the whole room fill with joy. The look on her face was priceless. She literally got up and came and hugged me right away. She takes tap and ballet classes, and this was simply perfect for her. My mother collects precious moments, and my daughter has put this in the same curio cabinet with her Mimi's. She loves that she gets to start her own collection!

I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter's first dance recital. I was disappointed that the colors were much lighter than the picture showed, and the shoes are far from being black as represented. The packaging was poorly done as the outside box was crushed on two sides which caused the manufacturer's inside box to be damaged and not worthy of being used as a gift box. There was only one wadded sheet of brown paper at one end inside for protection. The Styrofoam was also broken on both ends although it seems the actual figurine is okay. I didn't have time to request another so I will keep it and make do. It does not appear to be new as represented and I don't believe it is worth the $43 I paid.

I have a collection of these Precious Moments figurines since the first came out. I have the first one (a little boy) and was told at the time that he would be so valuable through the years because they only make a limited number of them. I have checked the value of many of my collection and am so disappointed to see how the value of all of them are all down. Not even worth 50% of what I paid many years ago.This one was a gift for my granddaughter, and the price was high......I should have invested in other figurines that have increased in value over the years, unlike these Precious Moments. I do, however, think they are so very adorable and make me smile each time I hold one...

This picture shows traditional black tap shoes and, I feel, it is the correct design. On the actual figurine, the shoes are painted pale grey. This was a dance recital gift for my young granddaughter and, though I was disappointed, her Mom accepted it.

I have been buying Precious Moments for 20 plus years for my daugters and have never been disappointed with the quality. This little girl is no different. I try to give significance to the piece by relating it to something in their lives. They make truly thoughtful gifts.

This is the only figurine I could find of tap dancing and she is just adorable. It really looks like she has little metal taps on her shoes!! Thank you to the Precious Moments company for not forgetting those of us who are tap dancers!!

This Precious Moment is very cute, however I do agree with previous comments about the color. The shoes in the picture show black and they are grey. Also the hair is much darker in the picture than the actual statue. It would be nice if they were pictured as they really look. I have found this with all the precious moments. The color is never as vibrant as shown in pictures.
