CAT Men’s Threshold Waterproof Steel Toe Work Boot

Hello Everyone, first off I work in the manufacturing industry as a QA for Mars Corporation. So I can sympathize for individuals looking for decent shoes/boots. I work 8 to 12 hours a day and walk 1.2 miles one way daily to work, definitely underpaid for what I'm worth. So about these boots... Positives 1) Materials 100%! Very tough and expensive feel. 2) Quality (day one) No imperfections, well manufactured. These just bleed "Quality Care Repetition"! 3) Sales...these surprisingly have thousands of reviews, compared to other brands. Shoppers aren't wrong in demand. 4) Very comfortable, soft 5) Extremely stylish 6) Value...I have a ton of workbooks. But nothing like this for the price I paid. (Black Friday) 7) Size is perfect! I ware 14 and most safely shoes need a wide. I took a chance and was presently surprised. They are spot on width, no oversized needed. 8) Features, many threading options and has a "boot loop" at the very back of the boot that makes them easier to put on. Neutral. 1) Would like an exact copy, but with composite. I did not see these available. Composite are lighter and do not get cold in snow. Composite though to be fair are cheaper and less quality. 2) These would look great in Caterpillar yellow. They would stand out amongst other companies and serve as a reflective boot. 3) Lacks arc support, but still comfortable. Negatives ?? Maybe? 1) Cloth interior (untested) I'm slightly worried that the back of my heels will tear or eat the soft interior material. I've seen this material before in shoes. My feet like to create holes in fabric within weeks. It would have been nice if a tougher material was weaved in inside the back boots (visually). 2) Not a very slip resistant shoe in oil and/or soap. In fact, probably my least resistant slip resistant boot I ever owned. Important note: I purchased these cause a winter waterproof boot that works are very hard to find. The will also be worn on a Motorcycle and scooter safely. Funny note: Approved for Goth lifestyles

i work at the airport as a ramp agent and these boots have been durable and its been almost a year with them and theyre still holding up strong. The stiffness of the steel toe is great it has saved me countless times where ive dropped stuff on my foot. Kicking down locks with the toe and the heel have gone by well only a few scratches on the fabric but nothing magor. When it rains im able to really grip oh the floor even with the ground being wet with water and engine oil. The style is great I wanted something discrete that looked tactical and it fits well. Overall great boot has protected and prevented me from getting hurt at the work place. They are water RESISTANT not water proof. if you spill some liquid on your foot youre fine but if its raining after about an hour or two youre feet are all wet. For that i'd recommend pvc boots.

I am a solar technician and need something reliable, durable, and with lasting comfort. These check all the boxes. I use Dr Scholls inserts in all my shoes for added comfort, and shock absorption

Overall, this is a solid work boot. The steel toe offers great protection and the wide fit makes it comfortable for long days on the job. I feel sturdy and stable when wearing them, which is important for construction work. They are on the heavier side, but that matches the type of heavy work I do, so it’s not a big issue. The boots are also listed as waterproof, though I haven’t had a chance to fully test that feature yet. For the price and durability, I’d give these 4 stars.

Great working boots, very comfortable and long lasting. As I was reading some of the comments regarding quality issues, I find myself fortunate I had none of them. The boots are just perfect in every aspect: great quality, durability, comfort, lightweight and stylish. I just got a second pair this week to replace the ones I bought last year (same brand and same Amazon seller); which by the way, are still in very good condition, regardless I used tbem to work every single day for a full year.

I have owned many pairs of these and have loved the comfort. But unfortunately, this pair has a terrible squeak in the right boot no matter what I do. I have not been able to get rid of this. I sound like a duck as I walk. I think it has to be shank inside the boot. I’m will need to replace them soon due to constantly hearing remarks like. hey squeaky. These boots are eadu to put on and comfortable to wear . They provide good support and ilkied to color. The fit was snug and the boots are holding up good. I was happy with the price.
