SPLPhonitor 2 Headphone Amp/Preamp Black-for balanced & unbalanced headphones

Folks, sorry for wasting your time with this post: I love how Phonitor looks and sounds, but right now I just want to check if I can post a review for the product I did NOT buy from Amazon.

I have had this headphone amplifier now 2 weeks. I was pushing HE1000 today and the amp went up in smoke. Seems it cant handle pushing a load like these headphones very long. I am extremely disappointed. Until the amp burned up it sounded ok not great but ok.

Compared with the combination of (KingRex UC192(I2S) + North Star DAC32(RCA) + Luxman P200), the new combination of (Stello U3 USB DDC(XLR) + W4S DAC2(XLR) + SPL Phonitor 2) produces more neutral sound of the K701. Both of them are very nice!Switching the headphone amplifier from Luxman P200 to SPL Phonitor 2 for North Star DAC32 with XLR -- Wow, I like this sweet and balanced sound. With HD800 or AKG701, I bet you will get so distracted by the amazing music! For W4S DAC2(XLR), the active monitors, the Focal Solo6 Be has become its new partner. The music has left me speechless, so speechless! Enjoy the music!

It is a headphone amplifier that also works with 600 ohm headphones.Matrix functions and pre amplifier functions are very useful.Excellent damping and excellent SNR.It is very good as a professional as well as an individual.
