RED HEART Super Saver Yarn, Solid - Pale Yellow

Crafters will understand that although the Amazon photo makes this yarn look like Aran or a shade of White, it is not either. If you can imagine a bowl of oatmeal with extra brown sugar, that'd be closer. While it turned out to be too dark for my original project, it did blend nicely when combined with Peachy Keen all-in-one granny square yarn. My photo below isn't perfectly lit but the Oatmeal yarn shows in the two outer rows of the square between Carrot (the darker orange) and Denim Blue (final rows of the square). I used the AIO yarn thru to the Soft White round (its actual final round) then added Carrot, Oatmeal, and Denim Blue to end the square. Using the Oatmeal in a fall colors blanket turned out to contrast well. All yarns used for this blanket were Red Heart which is my favorite brand as its quality is always good with little to no hidden knots. Red Heart also stays true to color so dye lots are not a concern.

I have been a fan of red heart yarn for decades! So thankful that Amazon sells in a three pack. I create amigurumis and I use a lot of yarn. This yarn is easy to work with. The colors are beautiful. I like the thickness of the yarn. I know this yarn will be very dependable and durable if played with or handled a lot as an amigurumi toy. It doesn't tangle up while working with it. Great yarn all around!

Even though most of the red heart yarns are not as soft, I still love the colors and I use them quite often. The quality is fairly decent and works up pretty well.

This is typical Super Saver yarn, durable, easy care, no knots, good value, etc. I am a little disappointed with this color (Dove) which seems to have more variation in the shades of grey in the photo than it does IRL. It isn’t critical for the intended pet blanket so I’ll carry on to its completion. Had it been for a person, though, I’d have returned it & chosen a colorway with more differentiation between the lightest and darkest shades. If you haven’t used this yarn yet, be aware of two things: 1. It can be rather splitty so use a big enough hook, and 2. it can feel scratchy while working; however, after washing, rinsing with fabric softener, and drying in a dryer it softens up nicely.

Love that I can get my favorite brand of yarn delivered to my door! Recent back surgery has me not driving and depending on rides to go shopping has been eliminated for this avid crocheter!

Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell. Leider ist schwarz nicht richtig schwarz sondern eher anthrazit und in den bunten Bereichen ist wirklich ÜBERALL was verfärbt, was sich negativ auf das Ergebnis auswirkt. Die Wolle ist eher rau und Kratzig. Eine Kaufempfehlung gibt es hier leider nicht 🙁
