ZERO STARSThis item is NOT as described! This unit was not able to be set up as it says in the instructions and I had to buy longer cables to connect the batteries. That wasn't a big deal but I'm really pissed that this unit does NOT run the way they say! 5000watts peak/2500watts continuous is NOT true! ZERO STARS

I have a similar system and experienced the same "Anxiety" when I had to put it all together (batteries not included). After a few months of having my inverter, it went bad - naturally out of warranty. A new inverter will run about $300.00. Batteries (if not included in this set up) run about $300 for 2. Do your homework since there are many types of batteries (get the sealed AGM's). VERY heavy to pull around... Plastic wheels fall off of so called "Rugged" totes.Also, don't listen to anyone that tells you what the "Peak" wattage is... It's a gimmick. The actual "Running" wattage that determines your load limit. Also, be sure to you your homework on the inverters... "Pure Sine Wave" are best for sensitive electronics, but the price for the inverter will go up. I had to have a local repair tech come to install some fuses so that the inverter doesn't get fried (again).If I had to do it again, I'd pay the extra and buy a "Goal-Zero" unit. It's all assembled and gives all the details needed to plug it in and watch it work!

The unit came as advertised. The only thing I would like to have seen is the additional charger to keep the batteries charged when you don't have the solar panels hooked up. I went to their site and order it.

Hello, I purchased this 5000 Watt 200AH Solar Generator & (2) 100 Watt Solar Panels from beprepared solar. Purchased it off their Website at[...] Didn't know where to leave feedback on their website and that is why I am leaving it here. Everyone needs to know about this business and the products they sell. I know I didn't purchase this off Amazon, but I do have experience with this system and business. It took me and my grandson Approx. 3 hours to set it up. The longest part was mounting the solar panels, running the cables that connect to the solar panels and trying to figure out the poorly written instructions. Keep in mind we are all new to solar power and that is why we get fooled into purchasing these types of systems. This system will power my refrigerator/freezer combo for Approx. 3.5 hours starting with a fully charged battery and the solar panels being in direct sunlight. Had to modify the portable container that all the solar system parts are in. My grandson had to drill holes for ventilation. The reason he drilled holes was because the power inverter was getting too hot and didn't want there to be an issue, like a fire. The portable container that has all the solar system parts housed you can get at Home Depot or Lowe's. This system looks like someone built it in their garage. Anyone can put together one of these systems very easily and save money doing it themselves. Recommend staying away from these cheap portable solar systems. The market is full of portable solar systems. I looked up all the parts used and can get these same parts online for a lot less. Recommend to anyone that wants a solar system that will run longer and power more to invest in a larger solar systems like a complete home systems. My grandson helped me to search online for a better system. He Searched online for: Solar Generator Systems and also searched for Solar Hybrid Systems after doing some reading about different types of systems. We stumbled across a website that I ended up purchasing my solar system from. We found this website by randomly searching and found a " 5000 watt Solar Hybrid System ". The business I talked with "can't mention their name do to Amazon not allowing me to" that sold me the system talked me into getting a hybrid solar system. Happy I purchased from them and the system works and functions great. Hybrid solar systems have another power source other than sunlight like wind, Hydro or even grid power that will assist with charging the batteries. Plus it is important for everyone to know the more batteries you have connected to the solar system the better the system will perform. There are some really good deals out there, if you take the time to search. Just saved money and purchased a real solar system from a business online and saved $$$.

Sounds like something I could not handle as a woman. I am very interested but think the install sounds complex.
