37mm Filter Adapter for GOPRO Hero3 HD3+ Threaded Lens Converter

This item snugly fits over on the 'naked' Hero 3's round lens. This adapter is metal and it makes good friction with the rubberized texture of the native Hero lens so that the adapter stays put after being placed. It also it very low-profile, in fact the end of the adapter is flush with the outer dimension of the native Hero lens.It has nothing to do with this adapter, but any filter (even just one filter) added to this adapter will 'show' as a circular shadow restricting the field of view when using the regular Hero field of view settings (I think they are called normal and ultra-wide .. maybe?). The more filters stacked, the most vignetting. However I used this adapter plus two filters (a 37 mm UV filter plus a circular polarizer filter which is even a little 'taller' than the UV filter), and the "height" of that small stack does not show in the edges of the video when shot in NARROW field of view .. no vignette (I use only the 'narrow' field of view setting on my Hero so this works great for me). In the Hero, "narrow" is still a pretty wide angle field of view

If you want to add a filter to your GoPro, this is a good option. It's also a simple way to add some protection to the lens when you have the camera out of its casing. It just slides on, but fits well enough to hold tight and as long as you push it all the way on, you shouldn't see any vignetting in the image. 37mm is a nice, common filter size and doesn't look too outlandishly large on the GoPro itself. Obviously, this only works either without a case or using the "frame" style case, so if you want to use the clear plastic enclosure, you'll need to use something else.

I use this to mount different lenses to my gopros, even over a DJI Drone with camera stabilizer. It resist many impacts and help to protect my lens camera. Very useful, light an simple to mount. 100% recomendable

I use this with a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition and it is a great accessory. The ability to add a UV filter makes for excellent videos using this little camera. I have not had any problems with this adapter falling off of the camera, despite the fact that it attaches using only a snug fit around the camera's lens. Recommended!

I added a drone to my video/photography equipment that uses a GoPro. I've always used filters of different types to enhance my shots and I was hoping that the GoPro would have something available to use as well. I wasn't disappointed! Found this great little gem and it meets my needs perfectly.

I Use this with the GoPro Hero 3+ black and shoot into 2.7 K wide mode and the frame of the filter adapter shows up in the video footage which makes it unusable or needs to be cropped down. The fit is good on the GoPro however the issue is the cropping so can't recommend this.
