Awesome postal scale & very accurate. Good for the money!!
I like the Accuteck 85LB Scale. Very accurate at weighing & will help me to determine correct weights when I order products from companies/stores or sellers on eBay who I don't fully trust with their OZ & LB weights on their products that I purchase from them online. I can now do double checking on weights when I receive products such as homemade soaps by the LB, powder extracts by the LB or the OZ & Oils as well. I will get great use & benefits from this scale by doing my own double checking of weights when I receive my products by the LB or the OZ from sellers or companies/stores. I know for a fact that I have been ripped & gypped by some sellers on eBay as well as some companies many times before when I ordered products from them by the OZ or by the LB but could never prove it or be totally sure of it because I did not own a postal scale until now to start checking these weights of products as I receive them to make 100% sure of accuracy & weights. I can now prove to sellers & companies when they have shorted me or to say gypped me of a product by the OZ or by the LB with what I ordered from them. I am 100% sure that this scale will pay for itself within 1 year or less due to its quality accuracy & my real potential to now weigh everything for total accuracy as I receive items that I order online by the OZ or by the LB from eBay sellers & companies/stores to make sure that I got the correct weight amount that I ordered for the product & no less. If I do happen to get gypped anymore from now on, I can simply prove it 100% by putting the product that I purchased by the OZ or the LB by placing it on this Accuteck Scale to get the accurate weight & then take a picture of the product on this scale with its actual real weight displayed in the picture for the product on this scale. I highly recommend buying this scale if you are like me & order products online by the OZ or by the LB & don't always trust that you are really getting 100% what you paid for by the weight from sellers on eBay or online companies/stores.

Simple To Use, Works Perfectly, AAA+++
Works Great. Does exactly what it should. Doesn't take up much space, look great. Reasonable price. Can use with battery when you need to move it away from outlet, which is really nice for larger items or awkwardly shaped items that you might need to weigh on the floor. Screen doesn't allow you to read off access, so, if it's covered by a large box, it's hard to see the weight, but they solved this problem by adding a hold button, which saves the weight so you can read it once you remove the package. Self-calibrates every time you turn it on. Simple and easy to use. Well made, have had about a year and it shows no sign of wear. Really a great product.

AOK - Great Scale For Small Business / Ebay Operation
Ideal for small business - Accurate and durable. Great scale for the budget. I use it for shipping out Ebay goods and was sick of dealing with over/under paying for postage - This is an affordable, accurate and nifty scale for the price. I check calibration often and it has never skipped a beat; Great for determining precise weights in ounces. Several modes allows you to display the weight in pounds/ounces - Just pounds, just ounces or even grams - Displays weight info on it's large blue LED display that is easy to read/see - Durable yet lightweight and compact to keep on desk in corner. Take the guestimation out of weighing a package to ship. Nothing worse then having your buyer HAVE to pay for additional postage when it arrives because of a bad weight reading - As is OVERPAYING on postage too - This scale keeps everything accurate. PROS Has a load capacity of 85lbs - Great when weighing heavy items - Most compact scales do not have this high of a load capacity. Great for (obviously) heavy shipments when each +/- pound is either $ wasted or saved - Sensitive for small items to get accurate readings in ounces (especially when shipping first class USPS and their 13oz or less rule for parcels) Long battery life - Large display - Affordable and accurate - COMPACT enough to leave out on the desk or store in a drawer. CONS So far NONE - And I'm pretty abrasive when it comes to writing a review - I expected a cheap import with a 30 day (at most) life span - It has proven me wrong - From tiny 2 ounce packages to huge boxes of heavy books - My shipping weight is dead on accurate now and I'm happy. Only 'con' I would mention is the typical price fluctuation - Shop around - Kinda ruins the mood when you buy it and then watch the price drop significantly a week later. Regardless, I feel I definitely got my moneys worth and I'd recommend this to anyone who needs a postage scale at an affordable rate. I didn't want to spend $$$ for something I'm not going to use that often, but I wanted a decent one on hand for when I do need to weigh and this is a great one. Hope that helps people with similar needs, as this will meet and exceed your expectations, whether if you ship daily or 1x a month.

Rather solidly built for the price
For what this thing costs I was actually expecting something lighter and not as solidly constructed as it is. (The last one I had at about this price was rather flimsy looking, but luckily my ex wife took that one :) I'm not running a business and so ship things rather infrequently so I really don't need the most top of the line durable mailing scale out there, so this level of quality at this price is great for me as spending more money would be a waste of money. Normally I use a scale like this to occasionally ship returns or ship things out to buyers on auction sites maybe 3 times a month on average. Though I usually end up driving to the post office or some sort of shipping facility anyway, if I print a label and pay for postage online then (at least with USPS) I can get a discount on shipping charges, but this requires knowing the weight of the item to do. A scale like this will very quickly pay for itself in online label printing discounts and time saved waiting in line for a clerk to weigh packages for you. If you don't schedule a pickup then at least dropping the packages off will take much less time. I put a 40 lb dumbell set on this thing for testing and it handled it with no problem and read accurately. I seriously doubt I'm ever going to need to ship anything too heavy for this scale to handle. One really great feature of this thing is the "hold" button that freezes the display so you can take the box off to read it. With my last scale I'd have trouble reading the display with a large box placed on top of it. (Notice that more expensive commercial shipping scales usually have the display on the end of a curly cord to avoid this problem.) With the hold button you can put a box that's big enough to cover the disply on the scale, wait a bit, then reach under and hit the hold button. Then you just take the large box off the thing and read the weight. There's also a tare button though that's not so useful for shipping. With shipping things USPS using online label purchasing I usually seem to save a bit over a dollar per box, so even if this thing did die after I shipped 20-25 boxes it would still have lasted long enough to pay for itself. Given that it has both an AC adapter brick and can use a battery, I couldn't be happier with it. It can also be calibrated though it requires that you place a known standard 40 Kg of weight on the thing making that kind of difficult. Highly recommended!

Whether you have a small home on-line business, a big business or just for personal use, this scale is perfect.
I love this scale. I've had it for a few months now and it has come in very handy. I do on-line selling and you really need to own a digital scale to do that. The only issue with the Accuteck is that sometimes the numbers bounce a bit. For example, the weight may be 1 pounds 3.5 ounces, and the scale will jump to 1 Ib. 3.6 or 3.7 ounces. Though this really isn't much of an issue because when you go to print your shipping the price will be the same for anything between 1 Ib. 3.1 and 1 Ib 4.0. So it's a very small issue and not something that will effect the cost of your shipping, or cause you to lose money on shipping. It's pretty heavy duty and a great investment for a home business, big or small. And with the minimal cost, It's even great for personal use. The Hold button is wonderful for weighing over-size boxes, and I love the range of weight. It's very difficult to find a scale that can weigh as little as grams and goes above 30 or 40 pounds. Most scales that go past 50 pounds are much higher in cost. I highly recommend this scale. If you get one that doesn't seem to work right, then it's probably an issue from production - not the brand - and you should just exchange it for another. Accidents happen and it's worth the effort to exchange.

Good value. Works well for the price.
So far so good! Seems to be fairly accurate (is a bit off from the official one at the post office but not enough to really make a difference) and the price is right. Feels cheap and plasticy but it does the job. The scale the post office sells is double the price but fairly similar. However, this does not have a USB plug-in to import to a shipping program. If you can deal with that, for the price this is a good buy and it ships fast. It can get awkward to read the display when the box is big and if you place the box on the sale with a lot of the edge hanging off, it will not be accurate. But I like the blue backlit display. Have weighed 50+ packages in the couple months I have had this and the barttery seems strong still. I haven't had to plug it in with the included AC adaptor yet.

Nice scale, really accurate
OK, I am a bit of a traditionalist.. I really trust the old scales with sliding weights. Not much to go wrong. And, over the years, i have had digital scales that were as much as 20% off. After all, there is a lot that has to be done right to make a digital scale thats accurate. Well, I don't have a full set of calibration weights, but I do have one weight that I long ago measured on a precision scale at 2222.4 grams. I put it on this scale and it read 2222.2 grams! I was pretty amazed! I have not checked it with heavier weights, and I need to see how well it keeps its accuracy over time, but so far, I am impressed. As for the rest, this is a pretty good scale for weighing large boxes. You cannot really read the display by looking under the box, but the buttons are accessible, and have a nice "click" when pressed, so its easy to reach under and hit the hold button. I also use this scale as a kitchen scale sometimes, and its nice because it does not try to freeze a reading like some scales do. I can put on a bowl, hit the zero button, then spoon in flour or whatever, and the scale keeps reading it. For the price, I am really happy with this scale.

Great scale for the price!
The scale arrived neatly packed with its AC adapter and 9V battery. Nothing was missing, loose or broken. It immediately powered on when the adapter was plugged into a socket, showing the default 0 lbs/0 oz setting. I turned off the unit, then back on, and it took only a second to calibrate itself before returning to its default setting. I ran through the different mode settings and tried the TARE and HOLD buttons. All worked fine. Its digital readout is big and clear and the flip-up lid does the job. Its plastic housing seems fairly sturdy. Its footprint is minimal considering it can take up to 85 lbs. I don't have calibrated weights so I couldn't test for accuracy. That will have to wait until I mail something and can compare it against the post office's scale. Things I did test weigh were close to their specified weights with packaging taken into account. I weighed a sheet of 8.5x11 printer paper and it registered at 0.1 oz. even though the specs give the scale's minimum readable weight at 0.2 oz. Durability remains to be seen as I just received it. As it is I think it's an excellent scale for the price. Plus it has a 10-year limited warranty for defects. UPDATE: First real-world test. I mailed a manila envelope of paperwork. The Accutek scale weighed it at 8.2 oz. and the post office's scale read it at 8.4 oz. Close, but not on the money. If the 0.2 oz. difference is consistent with every mailing, I won't see it as a problem.
