My grandson loved this book. He is a numbers and statistics kind of kid and likes facts more than anything. It certainly fed his appetite for these.

A fun and informative guide to all sorts of wonderful topics. Great for any kid interested in the world around them. I highly recommend it, and so does my son!

The photographs are so colorful, and each section is color-coded so you can navigate through the alphabetical entries with ease.With a wide range of subjects, there is something in here to interest everyone. There is even an entry for zombies! Some of the entries are short, but some are grouped together under a general heading. For instance, there is an entire page under C devoted to "Comic Book Heroes" with amazing factoids and details about 26 superheroes.There are also quotes about nerds or from famous nerds throughout history. I actually checked this book out at the library for my 9 year old. She reads profusely and rarely finds a book anymore that has new facts she doesn't already know. She loves this book and she is still reading it, and will probably read it a couple more times. Normally she finishes a book in an hour or two but this one was different. She did have me cover up the Zombie picture on the z-page with post-it notes because she was freaked out by the picture but still wanted to read the information :)

WARNING: This book contains bloodied and grotesque of zombies. Typically these images are in PG-13 and R rated films. This is not the type of stuff you want kids to see in a kids book. They give you no warningI usually peruse books my kids read to check content (it is impossible to read every page). This is an otherwise fine book with a terrible surprise image right at the end.NatGeokids should be ashamed for hiding this in their book. I will not be buying NatGeokids books in the future.

I bought this for a gift to a super nerdy person. The hardcover version looks very nice and the content is surprisingly interesting.

Really interesting book full of cool facts. My son loves it.
