Danger awakened and secrets revealed!
Spells and magic, a mysterious grimoire, and one sister's wish awaken danger in this second book of the Magic and Mage Series! They say "Be careful what you wish for" and that is so true in this story, making for an exciting read with many pulse-pounding moments. There are frightening encounters and many revelations as secrets are revealed, plus the introduction of new characters (knights!!)! I enjoyed it and am very excited about the continuation of the series!

Envy drove her down a very evil and dark path! A thrilling novel.
Morganne is desperate, she is feeling so cut off from her sisters now that they have discovered their magical powers and she has none at all. Jealousy is eating her inside out and she would do anything to gain such powers. She feels that her mother is looking down on her and keeping her from seeing the magical book which her sisters are allowed access to, the grimoire. In anger she takes off in the night with her magical steed Angelfire but she really does not know what she is attempting to do when she decides to confront the Immortal one herself, Emyrsa, the Queen of dark magic. This second book in the series has taken us down a dark path and it deals with the story of Morganne only. It is a very gripping and well written book which got quite scary at the time when all hope for Morganne seemed to be lost. The sisters all so different and all so beautiful in their own mysterious ways and their characters are so well described that they are brought to life for the reader so to speak. This series is a real must read for all young adults who love magic, witches, magical horses and evil crones. Hope we do not have too long a wait for book 3 as I am really into the sister’s story.

Fire heart
This book will be best for horror fans as we start out with grumbling and envy, then get into panic, evil, unpleasant things and hags. I don't know if the author has deliberately made her main characters embody the maiden, mother and crone, which were the three traditional aspects of women. Men don't get a look-in until two thirds through, and then we meet a couple of travellers with swords. One happens to be an Arthurian knight, if the earlier name Morgana hadn't been enough of a hint.I love horses, but the horses in this book aren't enough to win me over as I dislike horror. I have the previous book in this series and will read it, but I won't be reading more of them; however, some readers will enjoy this type of tale more than I do.I downloaded an ARC. A Great Follow on from Witch Hearts
Fiire Heart is a great follow on from Witch Hearts, this time exploring further the life and feelings of one of the sisters: Morganne. With a fiery temperament to match her flaming curls, Morganne sets out on a journey to bring herself closer to her sisters and mother through magic. What she so desires comes about in the worst of ways and Morganne battles with her chestnut steed Fireheart to right her wrongs. This story is woven poetically with incredible terms and imagery used to describe the situations. A unique tale full of adventure and fantasy.

The desire to be like the others brings with it unwanted jealousy.
Morganne can’t seem to raise her magic like her sisters. She finds her mother’s grimoire and the adventure begins. The “Immortal One”, Emrysa, is released from an old curse. Morganne is on her own and must find a way to save her family from Emryra. A terrible struggle between the old curse and those one loves. Can Morganne survive with her limited magic?

Fire Heart
A fantastic read. This grabs you from the first page. This is fast pace and action paced. First Morganne wondered where her magic was. Her sisters had it. And there was a book that had spells in it. Morganne leaves home but ends up regretting it. She gets caught up in battles and a fight with another witch. This is definitely a must read.Shauna Joesten
